Hotell Hollywood Historic Hotel - Los Angeles

Hotellet var okej men som många skrivit innan så slutande hissen fungera under kvällen så vi fick bära våra väskor i trappan. Det är gammalt men helt okej i övrigt. Gratis parkering ingår. Frukosten som ingick på ett café i närheten var inget vidare och minst sagt enkelt. WiFi:t fungerade bra.

Det var ett bra hotell. Personalen hjälpte till med allt man undrade. Det var hyfsat nära till bra bussförbindelser, ca 10-15 min gång. Det som var dåligt var läget. Det var i ett ganska så läskigt område med hyfsat många uteliggare så det var inte direkt att man ville gå ut och gå på kvällarna.

Vi stannade 2 nätter under vår snabbvisit i Los Angeles. Helt ok hotel, ligger dock utmed en väg så man hör trafiken ganska tydligt. Cafet jämte hotellet var perfekt att köpa frukost på innan vi körde till Hollywood blvd. För priset så var vi nöjda med vår vistelse.

Våra första nätter i LA, visste inte alls vad vi kunde vänta oss eftersom det var ett billigt hotell. Var inte det bästa hotell vi bott på men för det priset så var det mer än okej. Det negativa var att hissen inte funkade och att ACn inte riktigt orkade med att sänka tempen. Stor parkering ett plus, cafeet på hörnet hade grym frukost.

The hotel was clean and good. Air condition in all rooms. Water preasure not the highest, but ok. The only negative was that the window has only 1 layer and it is rather heavy traffic on the main road outside why the room was very loud from time to time. Stannade bara en natt. Det enda som var en nackdel var att hotellet liogger vid en ganska trafikerad vag. Sa oronproppar ar att rekommedera om du sover latt. Annars bra.Ligger inte sa langt ifran Santa Monica Blv ovh ytterliggare en bit upp Hollywood Blv.

Hotellet var ett typiskt 2,5-3 stjärnigt hotell, ingen frukost, rummet rent, toaletten liten med flagnande färg, sängen märklig. Hissen var trasig fick bära upp allt bagage till 2:ra våningen. Man bör vara beredd på att vakna av sirener då en brandstation ligger någonstans i närheten. Vi vaknade mitt i natten av en utryckning. Man hör även bilarna åka utanför och hör mycket genom väggarna i rummet. Vi var där i 8 dagar och det kanske var fyra dagar för mycket. Internet fungerade dåligt då det kopplades ur var 20 min

The bed wasn't comfortable but the room was big and we had a walk in closet. Hasn't been renewed to much but for the price it was good. It was quite (we had a back room).

If you like indoor outdoor carpeting that is ripped at the seams, teeny tiny pieces of soap, thin sheets and towels, fraying curtains and bedspreads irons attached to the wall so you have to iron in the closet and hangars that are not removable even at the bottom then, this place is for you. The employees were very nice but helpless. I asked for two […] more pillows (it was a king sized bed and there were only four single bed sized pillows on it-- needed two more to cover the bed) and they said the hotel is fully booked so we don't have any extra pillows. The room was fairly clean although toothpaste was not cleaned out of the sink and hair was left in the tub during our stay. This could be a really funky hotel if they upgraded everything, especially the sheets and towels-- which is an easy fix. Too bad-- would never come back even for half the price. Läs mer

It served its purpose, but the smell is overwhelming!! My Friend n i had to go to buy air freshner n fabreeze still that only help very little.. The rug n curtains are old so allergies definitely kicked in..

the room was clean and comfortable. i would,however,make a few suggestions that would make a guest's stay more comfortable. there was not a luggage stand in the room. i put my suitcase on top of the desk. it was ok for one person, but would be very inconvenient for more. also, there is no ice machine in the hotel at all. the fridge in the room helped, […] but it would be nice to have ice with a drink. these would be nice conveniences to have, but my stay was fine Läs mer

The Historic Hollywood Hotel presents a great atmosphere of old-time star photos lining the walls and an overall welcoming feeling. The rooms are just basic. Overall Is A Good experiences, lift is working :). The only 2 things i can find issue with is the placing of the toilet bowl in my room, no place to place my leg. The hotel was clean and nice. The interior is as it would be back in 50s. It's basic as for 50s but comfortable and clean. We've had room on the european first floor (one above the ground floor) overlooking street. As one can expect it might get noisy on such street and taking into account that windows are in the old style (not much accoustic issolation) […] it gets noisy in the room to. The street is not busy during night hours so it did not cause any sleep problems (I'm very sensitive to it as live normally in very quiet area). In the morning we've had surprise as we've noticed that above the street and other buildings we've spotted the Hollywood sign! That was great. There was not breakfast at the hotel however they do recommend restaurant next door. There was plenty of paring spaces at least at the time we've arrived. The Hollywood Historic exudes "the old Hollywood" groove. With a room on the street side you get an unfettered view of the Hollywood sign and Griffith Park Observatory. The room is spartan in its amenities but very clean and comfortable. I will be back.

We stayed at this hotel for the Hollywood Half Marathon and the location was just a few minutes from the start line. The hotel staff was very nice and the hotel was clean. It is an older hotel with a great deal of Hollywood charm. Our only dislike was the bed. The mattress was basic and we are used to a pillow top. The only thing good about this hotel was the front desk manager and parking. Pillows hard as rocks, a platform bed that squeaked every time you moved. Curtains that did nothing to keep out the parking lot lights. I have stayed at motel 6's that were more comfortable.

We stayed here while seeing a show at a club nearby. We spent little time in our room, which was comfortable enough but nothing fancy. We did appreciate the ample free parking and the front desk person who checked us in was really nice.

Amazed To find that there was no Room telephone To contact Front desk and outside. There is only one employee AT the Front desk,if He is away upstairs,any body can enter and exit without notice ,this was a security issue also

It's cute! It's better than the other hotel I stayed it that had "Historic" in its name. The hotel is clean and in an amazing location close to funky clothing shops on Melrose and delicious food (Frida's Tacos on Melrose!) I just spent 5 days in this hotel and was pleased. The location is great, parking is ample and the price was right. The hotel for SURE needs a renovation. The corner rooms are bigger but have LOTS of street noise...I'm from the city...didn't bother me one bit. If you want quiet....ask for a room on the back side.

The hotel is a perfect place to meet up for a romantic getaway, near a lot of what the city has to offer. The staff were friendly and accommodating, offering a quiet upper floor room facing the parking lot rather than the noisy street. Nice place, if you don't mind lots of noise from the road outside and the rooms are a bit worn down. Neighbourhood's so and so at night if you arrive by metro and bus. For a night or two it's ok. Stayed here at 2 different occasions, might be back for a third...

We had a great stay at the Hollywood Historic Hotel. Even though there is quite a bit of traffic outside, with the windows shut and the air conditioner on, we could ´t hear any of the noise. The HHH is suitably located within walking distance of Hollywood Boulevard and many famous sites. It is an old world hotel that has been capably modernized and which is very comfortable. While the hotel does not offer all the amenities of more modern facilities, it is clean, comfortable, safe and charming.

I stayed here many times, it's good for a simple basic place to stay. Can't beat the price . Internet works half the time, and front desk can be unfriendly. But it's over all it's good.

Neighborhood is run down and a bit scary, but centrally located and close to many things. I read some reviews prior to my stay and I have to say some of those negative comments are unwarranted. Charming old work style hotel. Staff was great, and the room was just fine. If you are looking for Fancey modern digs, this isn't your place. Many of the Elements seem to be original, and that is what makes this place cool. for the price, can't beat it. free parking, right by Paramount Studios, about a 1/2 hour walk to Hollywood Blvd. not the most modern (built in the 20's), but they do a good job of keeping it clean and fixed. The coffie shop next door is right on.
