Was a conveniently located hotel with a decent staff. Overall good stay.

Oh what a lovely stay we had, staff where so nice and willing to help in any way they could. From directions to a nice place to eat, as for location, your right in the middle of a great market street. When the lights go down, the street comes alive. We will defiantly stay there again...

I would like to point out that under room features The Rockwell hotel lists on this website that it offeres sound proof rooms. This is simply not true. We booked 3 different rooms at the Rockwell and not a single one was even remotely soundproof. They were so loud that I was up until well after midnight trying to sleep even with the aid of earplugs. […] It was in fact possibly the loudest hotel I stayed in during my 3 months of travel through Asia. Rockwell Plaza offers a good standard of accommodation in Delhi, rooms are fairly large and comfortable. The neighbourhood surrounding is respectable with a busy street market just 50 meters from the hotel, the metro station is around half a kilometer away and is fairly easy to find. Staff were attentive and helpful. I would recommend this hotel

Great option if looking for clean "above average" hotel. Easy access to market, train and most other main sights in Delhi. Staff aim to please and do their very best to help. Food is excellent as is food at restaurant just around the corner at Aroma Spice. The Rockwell is very good value for money.

We stayed at the Rockwell Plaza during our recent stay in India. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Nick who could not do enough for us during our stay. The roof top restaurant was a perfect place to end the day and the food was more than edible. We stayed in various rooms during our trip as we travelled to other places over India and […] each time we returned to Delhi we stayed at the Rockwell Plaza. The location is an easy 10 min walk from the main shopping market with lots of shops on the way. Cleanliness was a top priority and our room was always clean and tidy. Free Wifi worked well. since this was the first time I was taking my family to Delhi, I was slightly apprehensive about hotel we would be staying in but my very first day cleared all my doubts & the children & wife both liked the hotel very much. as it was very neat & clean, very helpful staff & the rooms were just enough for a small family at a decent budget. Since we were on conducted tours where we had to leave the hotel early morning , before 5.30am, the room service would help us by packing sandwiches & giving us a very early tea/coffee in our room, which was quite touching , as their complimentary breakfast would start only after 7am. We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of November 2011, and would not go back. The pros are its in Old Delhi and very close to a metro station, and the hotel pick you up (for a charge) from the airport. The staff are also very friendly. The cons - everything else really. We booked a twin room with a request that there must be two beds - we […] were given a double room. The beds were on separate bases but joined together. We asked for them to be separated and the hotel agreed, but it was never done. The room was so tiny that if it had been, we would not have been able to get in and out of the door to the room. There was aircon which we had to turn off at night due to it sparking, and us fearing a fire. The hotel was incredibly noisy, mainly from noise coming from inside the hotel itself, all night long. There were poorly patched up holes in the walls, which didn't give us any confidence that the air con and fan had been correctly (or safely) installed. The hotel was supposed to have hot water. We got a trickle of water out for the first shower, but then the water stopped entirely. My advice - don't stay here. At best it is a hostel, but should never be classed as a hotel. Whilst still relatively cheap, it is massively overpriced for what it is. Läs mer
