"Lyxigt hotell med rätt läge"
Vi reser till Barcelona flera gånger om året och brukar byta hotell från en gång till en annan. Men inte nu längre. Ohla är helt rätt för oss. "Trevligt hotell med bra läge"
Bra hotell som ligger "mitt i smeten". Rummen är små men bekväma. Knappt någon plats att röra sig på i rummet så jag kan tänka mig att det blir bra besvärligt om man är mer än en. Hotellpresonalen kändes som om de "bara jobbade där" inte mycket engagemang, speciellt inte i restaurangen. Dock en fantastisk concierge som tog väl hand om oss. Men bara […] en man som behärskade engelska ordentligt, de andra förstod nästan ingenting när man försökte prata med dem - svagt. Jag hade trasigt avlopp i duschen på mitt rum så att avloppslukten steg upp ur avloppet. Inte så fräscht när duschen är centralt placerad i rummet. Personalen hävdade att de skulle fixa problemet men hällde nog bara Amoniak i avloppet - gnällig? jag? tja, kanske... Skulle jag åka tillbaka till just detta hotell - ja, kanske. Det kändes inte som om vi fick valuta för våra pengar, men å andra sidan så kanske hotellen i Barcelona inte är bättre än såhär. Det var 15 år sedan jag var i Barcelona senast så jag har inte mycket att jämföra med. Det kändes som om hotellet försökte vara fem stjärnor men inte riktigt hade lyckats hitta rätt personal. "Snyggt hotell utan själ"
Vi bodde fem nätter på Ohla i juli 2011. Vi hade en grym semester och är nöjda med hotellet (speciellt takpoolen) men hade förväntat oss ännu mer med tanke på vad vi betalade. Hotellet är verkligen snyggt inrett men av någon anledning har man glömt bort att folk ska bo där. Några exempel: - Det finns två hissar på de åtta våningarna men de är inte […] sammankopplade. Man var tvungen att trycka på "hit"-knappen på båda hissarna för att få en hiss snabbt. Ofta fick man två hissar. - Belysningen på rummet var snyggt men helt opraktiskt. Antingen var det för mycket ljus eller för lite. Belysningen vid badrumsspegeln bestod av en sån här spegelförstoringslampa, inget mer. - Det fanns inget strykjärn (dock kunde man beställa upp ett till rummet) - Duschen var mitt i rummet, inglasad. Vattnet rann ut ungefär en halvmeter genom en springa under dörren. Det var ingen fara för vattenskada (golvet var vattentätt) men det blev väldigt blött om man inte svabbade. Hotellet under vår vistelse hade bara haft öppet 4 veckor. Bra och prisvärt hotell med ambitioner men förtjänar inte riktigt sina 5 stjärnor, frukosten var inte enligt förväntningar på sådan bra hotell och inte heller service. Snyggt hotell som ligger mycket bra till i Gothic area. Nära till Ramblan m.m. Tar ca 15-20 min att promenera ner till havet och hamnen. Bra service och bra hotellrum. "Central to buses and fantastic staff"
The hotel is very central to where buses drop off from airport. Metro is also nearby. On arrival, check in was fast and efficient. Concierge attended to bags and once checked in, we were brought to our room and shown all the facilities. This is important as toilet is hidden behind a secret door. The hotel has a fine bistro and a michelin star restaurant. […] We used neither as we were travelling about all day and tended to eat in restaurants close to where we ended up hungry! There is also a rooftop chill out pool and sun terrace, with fantastic views of the city. The only down side was that there was no kettle in the room to make a cup of coffee. "Modern hotel in a great location"
A modern boutique style hotel with a lot of themed black, which can be a little oppressive. The room was well designed with a feature of an open plan bathroom and bedroom with the shower isolated in the middle. Unfortunately the bed was very hard and the window wouldn't open, which made it a little stuffy. After reading the other reviews I selected Ohla because of the high rating and value. The hotel exceeded our expectations in service, location, and cleanliness. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quite - we slept very well. The main part of the bathroom did not have a door, but the toilet had a door and the glass shower door steams up […] real quick. The breakfast was great with good variety and plenty of food. "Check in lets it down"
Hotel very modern and in great central location. Concierge very nice, friendly and helpful. Room lovely and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Housekeeping very good. Unfortunately the check in lady tried to charge us 59 Euros for our little girl when we had already paid for her. She reluctantly withdrew and then as we left she said we had to pay 5 Euros […] city tax. We refused as our bill stated we had already paid all the taxes and she said (and did) take it from our card account anyway. It left a bitter taste in our mouth. "Great Romantic Hotel for Couples"
My wife and I recently celebrated our 20th anniversary in Barcelona at we stayed at the Ohla Hotel, which was absolutely beautiful. The hotel offers "wonderful" accommodations with a spectacular view of the city, and is centrally located in the heart of everything. We were a short walk from countless restaurants, site seeing, historical sites, the beach […] and even the train system (should you wish to venture outside the central down town area). The staff was very attentive and extremely accommodating at all levels. Included with our stay was a beautiful buffet breakfast assortment, along with specialty dishes made to order. The open-air roof-top bar was equally as inviting in the evening, after a long day of experiencing the many treasure throughout the city. A great way to relax before enjoying a spectacular dinner in the hotel, or venturing out to the countless other restaurants within walking distance. All in all...we gave it 5 stars. The architectural style is debatable, with the shower box transparent and in the middle of the room, with open bathroom and thank good for small favors, a toilet seat closed. "Beautiful Old Quarter Location ! Fantastic bar!"
Right by the cathedral and Palau de la Musica Catalana was across the street. We loved the upstairs bar on the roof but the Mojitos were very pricey. The tiny pool is useless. The real rockstar place in the hotel was the main street restaurant. We ate there three times and had breakfast there also since it was included in our hotel package and the food […] was incredibly delicious. The waitstaff in there were truly magnificent - the Maitre D' was fabulous - we absolutely loved him - so charming! As for our hotel room, the double glazed windows were great. We were on the 2nd floor and could here the distant rumbling of the underground but did not find it too disturbing. Everything was very clean but we were a bit upset that we had a queen size bed instead of a king size bed we paid for. We were only there for two nights and were too tired to complain when we came in but I hate it when the check in woman just can't be bothered to do it right. The concierge desk were very nice but seemed more interested in the football scores sometimes and did not order a taxi for the airport when we asked the night before. Luckily we came down for breakfast and doubled checked so it was there when we came down with our luggage. It is about total 35 euros to the airport by taxi. They add about a 10 euro charge to the fares so don't be surprised if you see another charge tacked on to your fare. All in all, not a bad place to stay if you use the restaurant and the bar.
