i booked the hotel bc of a day stopover in SIn. I'm actually surprised hotels.com supports this chain. I say that, but realize it offers hotel.com a cheap affordable place to stay in an expensive city, so be it. I wouldn't recc this hotel to families or females. It's more for sailors and single men. So many hookers outside this area in town. I saw a […] few of them leaving the hotel lobby. The beds felt like plastic and the sheets kept coming off in the night, it was not comfortable. If you have a short stay with tight budget and thinking about this hotel. You can give it a try. Please do not expect any cleanness from this hotel, but staff at the front desk is very nice & helpful. You can find Asian food with reasonable price in neighborhood(less than 2 minutes by walking.)

1. Use a vacuum cleaner. Dusts swept were in one corner under the table from the 2nd day we had room transfer to our last day. The beds were made but the room was not cleaned. 2. Curtains had burnt holes. It should have been changed especially if the smoke alarm rings at midnight or dawn. Had a restless sleep. Took Vitamin C to energize. 3. Paid 7 days […] in advance our stay through hotel.com, still they provided a room with a toilet bowl that does not flush the day we arrived. Even sent them an email to inform how many persons they will expect. 4. Telephone was not working in the room provided when we arrived near midnight. I come to know it only when my cousin texted me that she was calling. They sent somebody to repair the phone at midnight which should have been checked before they roomed us in. 5. Toilets were not cleaned too. The staple wire on the floor was on the same spot until our last day. 6. Should have transferred us immediately to another room the next day instead of waiting for us to arrive at midnight from an exhaustive sentosa trip. Läs mer

Such a shame that this hotel doesn't even live up to its 2 star rating. Cockroaches everywhere in the room, bed sheets too small for the mattress. Please people, NEVER stay in Hotel 81's anywhere in Singapore!

The room is equipped with a small TV but remote control is not supplied.

The location of this hotel is not too bad MRT is about $5.00 one way , good place for foods and souvenirs ,The negative side staying on this hotel is the LAN internet connection not working and the bathroom is always clog , sometimes very noisy in the middle of the night but for the price can go wrong

Cheap and relatively convenient. Easy walk to the MRT, plenty of taxi's allways passing the hotel. Room was obviously suffering from mild/damp, but they have attempted to clean it up a little. Trash still on the dresser from last guests, toothpaste stains on tap in bathroom on check in. Disposable pillow cases and sheets that didn't even cover to the […] foot of the mattress. If is between this hotel for for something like $40 and a 3+ star hotel closer to the city of even $60+, it would be worth paying the extra. Picked this as a cheap place to go to bed during a 2 night stopover. Even the non-smoking rooms had a bad smell to them. It's a 15 minute walk if you choose not to take a bus, which in Singapore's hot and humid weather is more effort than its length would suggest. The rooms were tiny, I don't know what to expect in Singapore, but there was barely any space for me to open my suitcase. Numerous cabbies pointed out to me that the neighborhood was a red-light area. Other than what I thought were more than the usual number of "loud" neighbours I didn't see any evidence of that. Lot of restaurants in the area. Overall the stay there was fine and the prices were relatively low. I would stay there again.

Ressemble plus à un hotel de passe. l'employé à la réception a refusé d'appeler […] un taxi pour des clients qui quittent l'hotel, L'état de la chambre ne vaut pas le prix. Many cockroach in the room, it's like everywhere on the wall, in the bathroom and even on the bed. They change me another room but there is a cockroach right on the door before I open it. A hotel staff was then go and check 2 rooms on the members floor and then let me choose. I can't see any cockroach any after in this room. But I feel disgusting and […] awful anytime in the hotel. As other comments says, there are many ladies offering themselves on the street right in front of the hotel. It's like I'm the target everytime I got back to the hotel. Definitely not a good choice for families and young ladies to stay. Free Wifi is provided but you have to get a passcode everyday from the reception. Hotelli oli karmein loukko missä olen koskaan yöpynyt. Torakoita, rikkinäisiä lappuja ja lakanoita, mystistä mönjää vessassa jne. Vaikka hinta olikin tosi halpa niin jotain rajaa pitäisi olla. Rahjä ei ole kahden tähden hotelli, vaan yhden tähden motelli.

If you want to save some money, go stay in backpacker or some other cheap hostel, that you can save more. If you want to have good mood while staying in Singapore. You should find some place that not in the area or in a hotel like this. To be frankly.
