Hotell Hotel 81 Palace - Singapore

Detta hotell ligger i red light district. Hotellet hyrs ut även per timma. So go figure. När vi berättade för locals vart hotellet låg så suckade de flesta. Singapore är exklusivt. Man bör kunna hitta bättre hotell. Deras t-bana är fantastisk.

good price and room is clean. location is good but 15mins from MRT station.

the room i stayed with appears to have been newly painted. hard to sleep because of the smell of paint. but otherwise everything looks good.

All the staff are friendly and helpful. All as expected. Less than 5 min. walk to the main road you can find a lot of Indian Muslim food and Chinese food.

you have what you pay for

The hotel is old but nice. Eating places all around it -nice. Pillows were hard; pillow cases out of paper; sheets way too small - come untucked constantly, then skin is laying on the plastic mattress cover. But staff is friendly and housekeeping did a good job in cleaning the room!

Perfectly ok budget hotel. no major issues. corridors can be heard in rooms, staff weren't that friendly, but im not here to make friends with the staff. good choice to save cash on singapores very expensive hotels rooms. 5 minutes walk to MRT station. This is an excellent choice for those who need to visit Singapore on a tight budget. Simple but adequate and only 10 minutes walk from the Aljuneid MRT. Plenty of cheap restaurants nearby. The most welcomed service was complimentary internet usage, something you don't get in the more expensive hotels!

good value, characterful location and helpful staff, but be warned it's in a red light district so there are comings and goings, though it was quiet at night. This hotel was possibly in one of the worst locations in Singapore - it was definitely in the red light district, and there were a number of women waiting around the entire way from the underground station to the hotel. It was cheap - which was the reason for booking it. Some times you are lucky and it's really good, sometimes it's very obviously cheap […] for a reason - this was the latter. They sell rooms by the hour... Overall, I would definitely go back to Singapore, but would advise people to spend more if you can and get a much more central location and nicer local neighbourhood. This hotel is fascinating. I stayed there on two separate occasions because after the first stay it was too late to cancel the second stay (I was there one night, then went to Kuala Lumpur before coming back to Singapore). The first room I had... WOAH! Hair everywhere. Disgusting. Filthy. Old TV. No Remote. Loud A/C. Pleather bed. (without a mattress […] pad...nasty). The second room I had was clean, with a new plasma tv (still no remote). Still a pleather bed... But, it didn't even feel like I was going to wake up with a cockroach on me! YEAH! The service is really spotty, depending on who is down there at the front desk... The neighborhood made me laugh. It is IN the red light district. Meaning, you WILL be asked if you'd like to spend the night with one of the nice ladies on the street if you come back after dark and walk from the metro stop to the hotel. Speaking of the metro, the closest one is about 10 minutes walk away, which to me was pretty cool because you can take the metro all the way from the airport. So essentially you can get from the airport to your hotel for under three US dollars. The food options around the hotel were really good and also cheap. If you're trying to save some money (the hotels in Singapore are expensive if you're looking for a budget trip), then book this place. If it matters, you can ask for a different room if yours is nasty (it even says it in the elevator that you have 15 minutes if your room isn't suitable). However, just know that you'll be sleeping on a mattress made of fake leather in a potentially gross room....and that the service is budget, too...and that you're in the red light district. Enjoy! Situated a little far from the action, but this hotel gives good quality services at a low cost....and near the MRT subway system. We plan for 2 days at the hotel,we went to look around but moore expensive, so we book for an other 3 days. I recommend.

Hotel 81 is doing a brisk tourist business now that singapore casinos have filled it's more conventional hotels. Among locals it's long been known as a no-tell motel and it's many locations in the Geylang red-light district reaffirm it's reputation. It's device tends to be efficient but brusque and there are no frills. The beds are covered in easy-to-wash […] Naugahyde. But Geylang for all its notoriety is one of singapores most fascinating and organic areas, a 24-hour jumble of mainland immigrants, south Asian workers letting loose, young toughs on a lark and of course lots of "industrious" young women from all parts of Asia. Nice budget hotel situated in the red light district ,but not very obvious, and was safe to walk around till late at night. Lots of very cheap little eating places along the main street at top of hotel street. At the bottom of the hotel street catch the bus into Orchard Rd takes about 20mins. Or walk about 15 mins to MRT.Room very small but clean which […] is all you need. They claim that they include WIFI in your room, however, upon check in they admit that WIFI has not yet been installed in this hotel. Bad when you need your internet for your business and to stay in touch with the rest of the world. The rest was more or less as expected - ok location and you only get what you pay for!

The hotel is cheap and not in the city center but it is clean and fine for the price you pay.

雖然預訂前已知這是位於紅燈區,但沒想到新加坡的紅燈區原來這麼恐怖,下午3點經過滿街都是站著化妝,身穿超暴露的小姐,更可怕是附近所有食肆都坐得滿滿!!9成9都是男人,由地鐵站行去酒店一直都會有非常不安的感覺,我自問感覺很害怕,每個男人坐著都不是真的吃飯,全部都是盯著別處看周圍看的 總之有女生一同往就不應選這區,女的在這街上走過會被誤會。而且此區環境污衊,品流複雜,正經人家都是盡量不要去吧!!比香港的油麻地/深水埗惡劣20倍!!!! 酒店出入見得最多都是租時鐘的,放下門匙後就各散東西~ 但酒店職員服務態度是好的,有問必答。房間亦算清潔。隔音超差,對面房說什麼,關上門我也能聽得清清楚楚 wifi上網兩部手機都是上不到的,用netbook就ok

駅まで徒歩10分圏内です。フロントの愛想は良くありませんが、話しかければ答えてくれます。安いので場所は良くはありませんが、食事も近くで安く食べられるしお金の無い人にはもってこいです。

エアコンが原因かと思いますが部屋がかび臭かった。 なおしてもらったが、洗面所が詰まっていた。 このエリアにはよく宿泊しますが、久しぶりに参りました。 シーツだけは毎日新品に交換されるのでそれだけは気持ちがいいです。 安いのでこのくらいは我慢するしかないでしょう。

进到酒店第一感觉就是大堂小小的，房间也是小小的，不过整体感觉还好，算是整洁吧，房间里竟然还有电吹风！不过洗手间里面洗手盆是堵了的，去不了水，沐浴的水好小，我们退房前一天，清洁房间的工人竟然没有给我们换清洁的毛巾！当然，我们一跟前台说了，马上就给我们送来了。所以以这样的价钱在新加坡这样高消费的地方算是性价比高的啦。

Thehotel was clean and comfortable. Cleaning lady dropped by 2 times in a day. No tv remote, no DVD remote which was a minus. Rooms were small but comfortable. Certainly worth the money. But, there was no wifi , it is broadband. There was no seating lounge.

When we arrived, the hotel staff just gave us a key eitt no information about where our room was, the internett or the location. We asked them for directions to the station, and they almost didnt bother to answer...the location is far away from downtown Singapore, bit the metrosystem is great, fast, and easy! The hotel is far below my expectation. We expect the place to be a small and clean one. It turned out to be small, but very unclean: dusty walls and dirty blanket (It seems that the blanket was not washed). Room filled with strange smell. Het hotel ligt aan de zuidelijke rand van het wat 'edgy' Geylang. De noordelijke kan van Lorong 16komt uit op Geylang Road, met veel chinese eetgelegenheden en supermarktjes. Huoneet olivat jo kuluneita ja tuoksahtivat voimakkaasti kosteudelle. Siivouksessa olisi toivomisen varaa. Huoneesta löytyi kuitenkin kaikki tarpeellinen ja hinnaltaan se oli edullinen. Hotellin ympäristössä on paljon edullisia ruokapaikkoja, ja se on kohtuullisen lähellä mrt-asemaa, ja linja-auto pysäkki oli muutaman minuutin kävelyn päässä.

Hotellet ligger i "red light district", hvor der er meget snavset og rigtig mange mænd der kigger meget lang efter hunkøn. Hotellet ligger fint i forhold til togstationer og det tager ikke lang tid at tage til centrum. Vi foretrak dog at tage en taxi hjem om aftenen, da vi ikke havde lyst til at gå hjem fra stationen. Værelserne er meget små, men der […] bliver skiftet sengetøj og håndklæder hver dag og det var vigtig for os. Prisen er yderst rimelig i Singapore, så hvis man er på en "lavpris-tur", er her helt fint. Forvent hvad du betaler for og husk at du kun skal bruge hotellet til at sove på, og resten af døgnet til at få oplevelser. Läs mer
