This was our first visit to Barcelona and was enhanced by our stay at the Alma hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were quietly efficient. We were greeted with cold drinks including a glass of Cava and our request for a local eating place was responded to with several suggestions and an offer to reserve a table at the restaurant […] of our choice. The area around the hotel is great for breakfasts and food in general as well as being within walking distance of all the main attractions. The only suggestion we can make is that the breakfast is too expensive and we would have appreciated tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Läs mer

having traveled over 3 million miles i have seen my share of hotels. this ranks in the top 3 in my whole life -- an oasis of peace and calm 1/2 a block away from most central part of town. almost bare but so appealing because of its simplicity. no art of the walls, no carpets or rugs to distract the senses. a single oil painting of polar bear in the […] "lobby" is the only art that i could see. lobby are 2 desks where you sit and have a private conversation with the staff. spent 2 night with wife and just loved it! We were offered a large glass of cava on our arrival and this set the tone for the visit. The hotel is a stylish, 'grown-up', comfortable and highly central base for a great trip to Barcelona. The service is excellent - as though nothing is any trouble. One is really made to feel welcome.

Perfect... Staff, beds, decor, ambience. Would describe it as the very best of Ritz Carlton combined with the very best of W Hotels.

what an amazing hotel. the design was modern, facilities fantastic. The staff was professional, helpful, and customer service is what they do best. We liked how close it was to restaurants and shopping. clean neighborhood. i would definitely stay there again.

I traveled to Barcelona on my own, so wanted to stay in a safe neighborhood, and decided on the Eixample district. The Alma Hotel had good reviews, and I can now say, with good reason. The service is impeccable and the hotel is beautiful, modern, chic and comfortable. From the hotel, you can walk to virtually all other neighborhoods as Barcelona is a good city for walking. A couple of Gaudi's buildings are within a couple of blocks from the hotel. I was very pleased with the hotel and will definitely look to stay there again. One warning if you are not traveling with a romantic partner: the shower/bath room, which is separate from the toilet, has no door, at least in the single room. Thus, if you are traveling with a platonic friend and trying to save money by getting the single room (it does have double beds), you will be bathing in full view of the room. Läs mer

This is an outstanding property ...simple sophisticated elegance. Service outstanding. Rooms bright, airy, handsome minimalistic. Only problem we had was they chose form over function for the room lighting. Breakfast dining experience beautiful ...outdoor sitting area lovely. Perfect location to elegant shops, Guidi structures. Super-impressive in every way. Immaculate facilities with clean, yet comfortable modern design. Spacious room. Comfortable bed with top-notch linens. Great location, with easy access to shopping and restaurants, as well as a major metro station. But perhaps the most impressive part of the ALMA Barcelona is the service. Everybody at the hotel went above […] and beyond throughout the duration of the trip. They clearly have some kind of a philosophy of never saying "no" to a guest, as we several times inadvertently requested things that were not officially available (including a late dinner after the restaurant technically closed and the chef was on his way out the door), and we were accommodated every time. We came to ALMA after 10 days staying at 4 and 5 star chateaus across the south of France (Provence, Nice and Cassis), and ALMA was superior in almost every way, at half the average nightly rate. ALMA opened in 2011 and all is very clean and new (within the framework of this historic building). We stayed four nights. Staff far exceeded expectations - from check in to check out they were extremely accomodating. The rooms are new and beautiful - with no sound transmisson between rooms. Beds are very comfortable. Restaurant is also outstanding. […] Location is right in the center of the Eixample district - close to great shopping, attractions, and subway. We loved Barcelona - and we loved the ALMA hotel. Très bel hôtel de style moderne avec une excellente qualité de service. Coupe de champagne offerte à l'arrivée, ce qui est très appréciable. Les mini-suites sont spacieuses, bien équipées, avec notamment un mini-bar où tout est gratuit. L'hôtel est situé dans une rue assez calme, tout près du Psg de Gracia, une des rues les plus touristiques de la ville. […] Très bon emplacement car on est près de tout les sites les plus visités. Jeg kan kun anbefale dette perfekte hotel. Vi boede 5 nætter på hotellet, som er meget moderne og cool indrettet. Nøglen til værelset er din finger, hvis aftryk scannes ved døren til værelset :-) Lækre kæmpesenge, god plads, flot og rummeligt badeværelse - alt er god stil. Meget, meget sødt og betænksomt personale, meget personlig betjening. De gør […] alt for at hjælpe. Delikat morgenmad EUR 20. Rigtig lækker gourmetrestaurant - ikke noget med hotelmad hér.
