Hotell Sheraton Bijao Beach Resort - All Inclusive - Santa Clara

I was very disappointed with my stay at the Sheraton. I am actually surprised that Sheraton allows there name to be on this property. it is far from all Sheraton standards. The service was none existing, all inclusive resort that don't have glasses and cant serve drinks is a win for the hotel but not for us the clients, plus they did not have some basic […] alcahol drinks and sodas! Only 1 pool bar and up to 1 hour wait to get a simple drink (if it was available. Restaurant service (Meditearian and Japanese and buffet) where all understaffed and extreamly rude and bad service. We had to wait for 35 min for our FREE drinks and our kids had to wait 55 min for there food (3 and 6 year). This is by far my worst experience in Panama until now. I will NEVER go there again unless they drop the price at least 50 % from what is now. To pay all this money for NOTHING is a complete waste of cash! I payed for a sea view room, and the onlyview that i had was to a bunch of trees, and the staff of the hotel told me many times that i had a view to do sea. Does this means that i dont know the difference between a tree and the sea. They have to improve the quality of the service.

This was our 2nd trip to Sheraton Bijao resort using Hotels.com, and once again, the amenities far outweigh the service. While we were satisfied with the customer service staff, the food service staff, was once again, less than acceptable. This is a beautiful property, with incredible pools, supervised kids' club and excellent service. Our room was fine, but we were definitely in one of the older, more dated wings of the resort. I was quite disappointed in this hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the staff helpful. The food was adequate especially in the restaurants (the buffet lacked a bit.) But the rooms definitely showed their age. The upholstery on the couch was dirty, the furniture nicked, the paint peeling. There were no outlets to charge electronics--you has to pull […] out a lamp to do that. My son (a skinny 16 year old) sat down on this bed and it collapsed. The hotel staff repaired but it remained rickety throughout. The bathrooms didn't even have tissues. The bars were understaffed although the staff was willing and cheerful despite looking often overwhelmed. Even the specialty restaurants had chairs with filthy upholstery. On our last night there was a party on the grounds that played very loud music until 4 a.m. We have stayed in all-inclusives with our kids in the Caribean and Mexico and this was the worst ever although the cost was comparable to others which were in far better shape. Good hotel. They work hard despite being crowded. Not really anything to complain about but not anything that was amazing. Definitely designed for a Latin America audience and for that they were amazing. If you're expecting US style Sheraton resort, you might be slightly disappointed.

Hotel is a little dated in the rooms, and they need some maintenance around the property. The staff was friendly. The hotels.com website was totally incorrect with some items. The rooms do not have ceiling fans or rain showers and Internet is not included in the pricing.

I didn't appreciate the fact that after you get checked in they drag you to an agency that wants to sell you time-share style apartments. I don't understand why Sheraton would let this agency do this since they sell Marriott, Radisson and other non-starwaood hotel stays. For solo or single travelers, this all-inclusive is full of families and couples. How ever, the pools are separated, so can find a spot for yourself without kids splashing. Very good brands of whiskies, wines and general alcohol included in your package! Rooms a bit old, but confortable. Lovely beach, excellent service... would go back!

We were told on the second day of our stay that we had been charged for another room because we had 4 people to a room and they only allowed 3. We were already renting two rooms and ended up paying for a third. The hotel would not honor the online arrangements even though the additional person had been ok'd at the time of the reservation. Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 2 days. It was alright except for the bar service at the pool. It was pretty bad. The food was also not that great. It was not fresh or hot and the variety was slim. I have been to other all-inclusives that have blown this out of the water (check out playa conchal in Costa Rica) but this was by far mediocre at best. They […] are still new to this area. The Sheraton took over from the Breezes chain so they are still making changes. The on-site resteraunts did alright. Las Olivas was a pretty good little mediterranean resteraunt with some tasty dishes. The only problem...I was sick as a dog the next day! After we left the Bijao my stomach was so sick. I found that the food may have been old which had me bedridden all of the next day....Take some medicine with you just in case ;-) Overall...I would recommend trying it for a night or two and seeing if it meets your needs. You have other all inclusives in the area to choose from (playa blanca and royal decameron) so dont put all your eggs in the same basket. He estado varias veces y esta es la vez que mejor servicio he recibido... eso es bueno porque dan señales de que están mejorado... aunque todavía deben mejorar algunos detalles en la comida (como los postres) y en el mantenimiento de las habitaciones

We had a great experience. The hotel infrastructure is great, the restaurants are excellent and the hotel employees are very nice. The only issue was finding a spot by the pool. Some people manage to reserve the seats and even if you arrive very early is hard to find one available. El Hotel esta muy bonito y esta enfocado para familias. He ido a otros hoteles con el mismo concepto de Todo incluido como Decameron y Playa Blanca y por ahora es el mejor entre los tres pero necesita mejorar en los siguientes aspectos: 1. El elevador es muy lento y no funcionan los botones., 2. Si quieren realizar un Early Checking o Late Checkout […] NO dan las habitaciones. 3. El Servicio de Comida es MUY LENTO y creo que es por falta de personal. 4. No hay suficientes sillas o camas de playas en las piscinas. 5. Tout a été super sauf pour les restos à la carte. J'ai réservé au Méditéranéen et j'aurais voulu pour 3 personnes - une amie de l'extérieur venait souper avec nous. On m'a dit qu'il n'y avait pas de place pour 3 personnes sauf à 9h45 pm ce qui était beaucoup trop tard. On a donc réservé pour deux à 8h45, mais mon amie est quand même venue me voir et […] a soupé au buffet pendant que nous jasions avec elle. A l'heure de notre réservation, on a quand même demandé à la jeune fille du resto si mon amie pouvait au moins s'assoir à notre table et prendre un verre, et quelle surprise de constater qu'elle aurait pu manger avec nous car il y avait de la place pour elle. Le lendemain, j'ai voulu réserver au Japonais, et j'ai du me mettre en ligne à 9h00. J'ai pu réserver pour deux mais j'entendais les gens sur la plage qui disait que déjà à 10h00 il n'y avait plus de place au Japonais. L'hotel n'était pas plein en plus. J'ai compris pourquoi le soir quand je suis allée souper et que j'ai vu qu'il n'y avait qu'une table d'occupée...les trois autres étaient vides, probablement à cause d'un manque de cuisinier.
