I would stay at this hotel again, and for the money, it is hard to beat, mainly for the location. The internet is reliable and worked consistently during a week, except for one afternoon. This hotel could be substantially better, with not too much effort. The floor of my room looked and felt dirty. There were scuff marks all over the walls from suitcases, […] etc. Two lightbulbs were missing in my room and it took 3 days for one of the 2 to get replaced--but surely the person who took them out noticed? The bedding is not so nice--polyester sheets and a dirty looking beige-grey bed cover. The TV worked but there is no English news channel available. Parking behind is convenient though not covered, so the car got so hot it melted a plastic biro pen. Noise noted by other reviewers on street side was completely absent when the double glazed window was closed. I had no hot water on one day, and on another there was a power cut. Lovely old Hotel, beautifully refitted with great beds and bedding. Very clean, comfortable and safe and well within walk distance to El Centro. I would highly recommend it and staff are friendly and helpful. Service in restaurant was great and outdoor patio superb for watching Pasio des Monjeho.

This hotel was in a perfect location. Everything was great until the construction started at 8:00am on Monday. I will go back to this hotel and would recommend it to my friends.

The hotel was great near walking distance from restaurant and 5minute walk to Walmart (opposite corner) overall the hotel was excellent beautiful hotel. The only thing it didn't have a swimming pool. Overall very good to excellent.

Victoria is a new hotel on the nicest street in the city. We we at another hotel in Merida first in the central city, but changed because it was dirty, bad service, and the beds were too hard. Hotel Victoria is in the northern part of Merida, some distance from the old center. The hotel is new, and clean and inviting. It does lack decor, and the beige of the corridors isn't uplifting. Also, the lack of carpets and other sound-baffles means mechanical equipment tend to resonate through the building. But staff are friendly and well-trained. […] The in-house Verona restaurant offers acceptable food at reasonable prices. One problem with the hotel is the street layout. In this area, the city's grid breaks down, and coming back at night and finding the right street (they're mostly one-way) isn't easy. Get to know the streets in daylight. Prima en net hotel op een mooie plek in de stad: buiten het historisch centrum, maar wel aan de mooie Paseo de Montejo. Hotel is bijna nieuw, zeer schoon en helemaal niet duur voor wat je krijgt. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ik las dat sommigen het hotel te lawaaierig vonden, ik vond het echter wel meevallen. Minder vond ik de keuken: […] meestal is het eten in Mexico uitstekend, hier was het niet zo goed. Het was een beetje smakeloos, wat vettig en niet zo gevarieerd als elders in Mexico. Niet dat het dramatisch was, maar het kan echt wel beter. Ook in een aantal details kan het hotel nog beter: er is geen strijkijzer op de kamer (kan vervelend zijn voor zakelijke reizigers) en ook geen manier om bijvoorbeeld zelf koffie te zetten op de kamer. Aunque se anuncia como un hotel de cinco estrelas, no lo es. No obstante, se encuentra en una zona privilegiada de la ciudad, el personal es muy amable y las instalaciones son nuevas y funcionales. No hay lujo en el establecimiento, sin embargo. Quizás lo más flojo de todo son los alimentos que ofrece el restorán: son económicos, sin embargo, la variedad […] es reducida y el desayuno buffet limitado en calidad y cantidad. La zona del estacionamiento todavía no está completamente terminada y el ruido exterior de los trabajos de acondicionamiento pueden ser un poco molestos. A cambio de eso, es un placer sentarse en la pequeña terraza exterior que tiene vista al Monumento a la Bandera y al Paseo Montejo. Läs mer
