Då flyget skulle gå tidigt valde vi en nära hotell som även hade en shuttle till flygplatsen. Är på gångavstånd. Rummen var stora och rymliga. Dock var sängen väl hård. Mycket trevlig personal.

After wandering around a bit, trying to fins the hotel, we found it and we were impressed, it was very nice looking and indeed located very close to the city centre. The only downside was that in our big room, we only had one small heater, for a big room, it didnt do anything, and the central heating either wasnt wotking or just didnt cut it. So we went to bed freezing and woke up a bit warmer, but other than that, top-notch! Great breakfast, friendly staff, clean and neat hotel, excellent.

"Helt suveränt"

Jättefint hotell i mycket bra läge i Old town. Personalen var väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma. Frukosten var däremot lite torftig men ok. Just nu bygger man om stora delar av området där hotellet ligger vilket gjorde att det var lite rörigt men inget man stördes av, iaf inte under helgen då vi var där.Verifierad gästrecension
"Bara tummen upp!!"
Vi var två personer och bodde här i fyra nätter. När vi kom in till receptionen möttes vi av en fantastiskt trevlig personal och incheckningen gick som smör. Vi gick därefter till vårt rum och när vi öppnat dörren och såg rummet blev vi väldigt positivt överraskade. För en gångs skull var det finare än vad som visats på bilder. Det var också oerhört […] bekvämt på alla sätt. Frukosten var väldigt bra för priset vi betala. För oss tog det ca 20 minuter att gå till Princes street. Kan dock tänka mig att det tar kortare tid om man inte stannar med jämna mellanrum för att titta på de vackra byggnaderna i staden! Det finns dem som klagar på att hotellet var svårt att hitta vilket jag inte kan hålla med om. Visserligen ligger hotellet mellan andra byggnader som ser likadana ut men när man är i området står det klart och tydligt på flera tavlor vilket håll man skall gå för att komma till hotellet. "enjoyable stay"
Good location, short walk to the Royal Mile but because of slight distance it was was very quiet. Breakfast was nice in the morning - good way to start the day! "A great hotel"
This is a cracking hotel, the area is smart, reception is well laid out with great staff. Rooms are large and well furnished- walk in shower with great pressure, ipod dock, tv, fridge, microwave and even a dishwasher! All appears to be brand new so cleanliness is impeccable. Beds comfy, and rooms well sound insulated as never heard a sound from elsewhere. […] Also love the room height windows with good views over the city. Great hotel, would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Edinburgh. We booked into the 1 bed apartment which was very comfortable. "excellent facilities but soundproofing poor"
Our room was very well appointed with a small kitchen area with microwave, sink,cutlery and crockery and a small dishwasher. Everything was clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was a quiet location but not too far to walk into town. However I can't give this hotel 5/5 because our room had a connecting door to the next room which was […] not at all soundproofed. "A quiet corner yet centrally located."
A very warm welcome and room was very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety to suit all tastes. We loved the location, convenientally close to all the attractions yet away from any traffic noise and in a pleasant area near to the University and the Meadows park. It couldn't have been better. "very good quiete location"
The Marriott Residence is perfectly situated, ten minutes walk to Waverley Station, Princes street. The is whole building is very new, housekeeping immaculate and the staff very helpful and friendly. The apartment suite was ideal with the living and kitchenette seperate from the bedroom and furnished very tasefully. Also we heard no noise in our suite […] from the hallways, other rooms and outside.The staff can also have any food,drink etc shopping ordered and delivered for you to your apartment. Large room with sofa bed, kitchen area and bathroom. Ipod dock alarm clock. Clean and new with ice maker machine on every even numbered floor. Great breakfast including take away cups for hot drinks. Was better than I expected.......usually take reviews with a pinch of salt but was massively suprised.....the hotel lived up to all descriptions. Would recommend to everyone, great value for money for short or long stay as you get a mini kitchen if you want to eat in....buffet breakfast was provided with no extra cost which was great as all other hotels […] I had looked at charged £7-10 each per day. Location was great,10mins from the royal mile and castle. Also had pubs, coffee shops, restaurants and supermarket just around the corner. "Great room in a great location."
Lovely big room, very comfortable sleek and modern. The staff couldn't have been nicer as well. The location up behind the old hospital is great and there's a supermarket in the same development. "Outstanding service, high quality accommodations"
We were very pleased with the Mariott and I would go as far to say that it was on of the Mariottt hotel accommodations we have stayed. The staff was excellent, the breakffast that was part of the room cost was diverse an large, and well beyond what we would have typically received in the United States, and matched any of the better hotels we stayed […] in the UK. The location was excellent, next. To the University of Edinburgh, yet not feeling as though you were near any college. In addition, the location was blocks from the Roylal Mile, about it's half mile point, so an east walk to the palace or castle. We found the brand new Residence Inn to be great value for money. It has an excellent location right in the heart of Edinburgh walking distance to all the sights. The in room facilities were fabulous especially the rain shower and quality linen. Although we didn't really use the kitchenette we were fascinated by the choice of including an oven, but […] not a cook top! The hotel staff were excellent, the hotel room was great layout with having a seating area and kitchenette. The only downside to this great hotel was the temperature control in the room and the corridor. I had read reviews about the hotel having this problem on the 7th floor and thought it couldn't be that bad. It was very hot indeed, we were out in […] Edinburgh all day and when we came back into the hotel to shower up for the Madonna concert we couldn't wait to get back out. The room was so warm that you didn't feel comfortable sat in the living area. The owners need to install air conditioning urgently or their customers won't want to return. Hotel modern & situated in a new area of Edinburgh called Quartermile which was lovely & quiet after the hustle & bustle of the city particularly as we are pensioners & not looking for the nightlife !
