Hotell Residence Inn by Marriott Calgary Airport - Calgary

I am unsure how this hotel has only received a 2.3 out of 5, did we stay at the same place??? I stayed at The Residence Marriot and we were blown away by the suite and its cleanlieness. We were Greeted at the front desk by a fabulous woman who let us know what was available during our stay and told us if we needed anything more to simply ask. Free […] Breakfast daily (not just continental) .... Free coffee and tea all day in a comfortable sitting area and free mini dinner starting at 6:00pm ... Salads, fruits, chicken one day something else the other night. We did not take advantage of the dinner our second night as we were in Calgary for a Wedding. The location for us was perfect. The places we had to be were all with in a 10 minute drive. This was Great! I did not rate the surrounding neighborhood as it was not applicable to our reason for our stay. Our room was more than we expected. Very roomy, and clean. Only negative thing was that there was some food left in the fridge but that could easily been a over sight by the cleaners. Went through hotel. Com and got a great price for the room.

Loved the decor of the hotel. Would have liked to have an ice machine, so we could get ice immediately when we arrived. Staff friendly.

I booked the Residence Inn for a night as a transit stopover, with an 8am departure from YYC the following morning. Service was fantastic, and the rooms are really well featured (although, being an airport hotel, I'm not sure there's quite the need for such well appointed kitchens in the suites). We were in town for a wedding and the location was perfect. Great parking, spacious lobby, hot complimentary breakfast was fantastic, seating area with big screens, free paper, Starbucks next door, 1 bedroom suite was perfect for husband who likes to sleep in and me who likes to get up early, make a cup of coffee and watch a movie. My wife and I just had our first baby. We booked the hotel because the location was so close to family and friends. For the price we paid I was extreamly satified with the suite we got. It was very clean and modren. We will stay here again on our next trip to calgary

We stayed for 4 nights and was pleased with every staff member we met. They were all courteous and friendly. All of the staff was so friendly, especially with our son. It was an amazing room and swimming area. It was very easy to get to the Zoo, Calaway Park and lots of great shopping, including CrossIron Mills mall.

Came to the Residence Inn for a weekend stay. Service was great throughout our stay. There is a complimentary buffet breakfast every morning, and evening reception as well. The bar/lounge is beautifully appointed with big screen TV's almost at every corner. The food and service there was exceptional. The pool is clean with fresh towels available. Newish 1 bedroom suite with pull out sofa bed in lounge. Perfect for our needs which is to accommodate family of 4. (2 young children 9 and 6yr). Location is good if you have a car. Easy to get into downtown, 15mins. Do note that there is no room service but that is a small price to pay for cheaper rooms than the sibling hotel next door which has its […] own restaurant. Nice pool and gym area. Pool shallow end is 0.9m. Free high speed internet (it was high speed). Included breakfast which was basic but more than adequate with hot breakfast available in a buffet style. They change slightly everyday. The hotel staff and cleanliness were excelent. The breakfast menu was really good but I felt there could be improvement on the lunch menu at noon. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone who asked me about it.

Clean, modern, convenient, quiet. Hotel is only four months old. Will be much more convenient to airport when the street closure/reconstruction is completed in 2014. Now it's about a 15 minute drive around the airport to the hotel.

Very anticeptic - strictly business. Kind of out of the way, not within walking distance of anything. New - everything works - food at hotel fair. Go here if you are on business, not for entertainment. It is perfect for getting stuff done without distractions.
