Somsagt bra centralt läge nära Donau. Stort och rymligt. Märkte inte av någon städning och inget byte av sängkläder eller handdukar. Vet inte vad som står angående det. "Slap bang in the middle of Budapest"
We're very happy with our stay. We thought we were going to stay in an apartment hotel. This turned out to be the most gorgeous little private flat with all the necessary mod cons inkluding wi-fi. "Knepigt rum"
Läget är jätte bra mitt i centrala Budapest med Metro och buss mycket nära. Donau och centrum runt hörnet. DOCK ´vae det mycket krångligt att få tillgång till lägenheten. Så struligt och mysko att jag bohade av när vi var på plats. För det första kom vi fram till en stor byggnad med ingån till en mycket stor hall. Ingångar till lägenheter och skumma […] butiker etc men inget anslag om något lägenhetshotell eller synlig personal. Jag hittade en "vakt" som ringde upp en herre på sin mobeltelefon och gav den till mig. Mannen i telefeonen sa på mycket dålig engelska att jag skulle möta honom i en förort för att få nyckel till en lägenhet. Mycket skumt och otrevligt!!! vi bokade Best western ist!!! ferenciek tere apartment has a great location, very close to Vaci Utca. the apartment has a well equipped kitchen, but that´s about it. we had to send many textmessages to the owner (since there is no staff) to get more toiletpaper and no one cleaned the apartment for the whole week - not even emptied the rubbish bin, even though it says that it gets […] cleaned once during the stay. no bed, just a couch to sleep on (so no select comfort mattresses nor pillowmenus). You can´t pay with creditcard, so make sure you have forints with you when you chek in! although the apartment wasn´t as it here is dicribed, we still enjoyed our week in Budapest and very much appreciated the great location of the apartment! "Not happy with last minute changes"
It was not good, because in the last day or so there was a problem and an alternative apartment was offered to me. This new apartment was cheaper and further away from the center and it was not possible to re-negotiate the price. Svar via Ferenciek tere Apartments Dear, We working with more then 40 apartments and all of them are in the city center, we don’t have no one property outside from the big ring between Margaret and Petofi bridges. Flight is changed to other people who was already in Ferenciek tere apartments, one family with 3 kids because of Lufthansa strike and we was able to give you another place, same category, same price. We offered you another apartment 2 metro stop distance which was already ready for your early check in, you didn't’t want to go there, 3rd solution was few buildings distance, people checked out, but cleaning is after 11 am, you was able to take a keys, pay and put luggage in the hall, but you didn't want this solution, cancellation was free of charge. You asked discount or you said you will put bed review on hotels.com. 50 Euro per night in high season was more then friendly price for apartment in the city center and for all our apartments price is the same. If people checked out and check in is on the same day, sometimes if people coming early need to wait for the cleaning, but it is always able to get the keys and to put luggage in the hall. Thank you for understanding and sorry for any inconvenience.
"Unusual property"
The apartment was tucked away behind closed doors in an amazing turn of the century shopping precinct currently unoccupied and crying out for renovation. The apartment was big enough for the two of us and was well equipped. It all had a certain charm and represented great value for money. Collection of keys went smoothly after a phone call from the […] airport to report out arrival and we were able to leave our bags in the apartment on the last day despite new arrivals and a late evening outward flight.The apartment is located just off the main shopping street and within easy walking distance of the large covered market as well as a 24/7 shop a few doors away. The Metro was very close so this is an ideal base for exploring the city. The only concern was that we were told to be very security conscious and to lock all of the connecting doors up to and including the apartment (all with different keys) There was a notice in the lift reporting a recent break in so we were very puzzled when we discovered that the doors were never locked by the permanent local residents and more worrying was the fact that the door from the precinct into the block was 9/10 left open by others! "Near metro station and near many sights."
The location was good but apt. was on fifth floor of a partly vacant, dark building with elevator service to fourth floor and apt. required four different keys to four gates and doors in order to enter. Size was less than half of described size and there was no phone, TV did not work and bed linens were not clean. Advertised clothes dryer, balcony view, […] down bedding and tub were not included. Heating was good and kitchen was adequate. There were no adequate chairs for the table and the only place to sit was on the bed. Svar via Ferenciek tere Apartments Dear Guests, There is no reception, Ferenciek tere 11 is on the corner Kigyo street and Ferenciek tere, very recognizable building, just like on the photos. When you making reservation you getting automatically phone number and e-mail address and we are also sending all information and explanation on e-mail you provided in your reservation. Your phone was switched off, we tried to call you, but you was able to use public phone on the address in building or to ask 24 hours security guard in building to call me or to ask anybody on the street or next door hotel, they are always able to help. You get 30 sqm recently renovated apartment, for 1 person it is more space then usually hotel room. There is no balcony in all apartments, just few of them in the building are with balcony, you reserved apartment for 1 or 2 people, not apartment with balcony, please check your reservation. Bed lines are always clean and changed, yours also, TV was good, only you need to use 2 remote controls, one for TV, another for channels for digital TV, I showed you first time. For help you had public phone on the entrance and was able to call us using coins or to ask security guard on the entrance for help. In every apartment is washing machine, only few of them has clothes dryer, you get drying rock in your apartment, so was able to wash and to dry your clothes. We spent almost three trying to find the place and then there was no one there since it was an apartment and not a hotel. By this time, it was so late that we stayed in a hostel across the street. The reservation did not make it clear that a person had to call ahead in order to meet the apartment owner. You can walk to the center (+- 10 minutes) or talk the tram/metro/bus at the end of the street (+- 5 minutes walking) and go to wherever you want to go in the city in no time. We booked an appartment for only one night and I have to say that we would have spent more nights there. The appartment was new, with a lot of comfort (microwave, washing machine, dishewasher, wi-fi for free). They provide also blankets and towels. My family and I loved Ferenciek apartments. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they not only helped us find things and get concert tickets while we were in Budapest, but also helped us with directions before getting there, they recommended a taxi services and gave very exact information on how to get to their place from the train and bus stations. […] The apartments are extremely clean, and they are well equipped, there are enough kitchen utensils and flatware to prepare a meal. There is a nice bakery across the street and a small grocery store a block away, very convenient. The washing machine works very well and left the clothes ligthtly damp, they air-dryed in a flash. "It was central for everywhere."
The main shopping area was just across the road with its many cafes and restaurants. The river was a pleasant 10 minute walk away. There is a small 24 hour supermarket accross the road and another one at the end of the road. They both had a good selection of cheese, salami, bread and other basics but frankly there are so many good restaurants nearby […] that we only ate in once, just as well considering the lack of cooking pots. Found the staff very helpful and friendly, and the location of the apartment was brilliant, lots of restaurants and shops all close by. The room we had on the 3th floor was great! The bed was SUPER comfortable and the room was very quiet. We loved the bathroom! Very swish! When we enquired about which of the public baths to use, the stuff recommended […] the Gellert Bath and Spa because it was less touristy than some others. It took us about 15 minutes to walk there (we could have done it quicker if I hadn't of kept stopping along the way to look at things), but the walk was well worth it. It was brilliant and we stayed there the whole day. Well worth it and I was very grateful for the recommendation.
