Det första vi möttes av när vi steg in genom dörren var en oändligt lång trappa rakt upp i himlen... kändes det som. Men trots trappan var det ett bra hotell med trevlig personal och fina rum. Toaletterna och duscharna var det heller inget fel på. Alltid gott om toapapper och vi fick nya handdukar varje dag!

We stayed at the hotel for seven days during our vacation in Amsterdam. The service was always nice and breakfast was served at the room between 0830 and 0900. The tram passes just outside the hotel and there is a lot of things to see nearby. The price suited our student economies..

The apartment was much closer to the city centre than the Hotel was, the room was very clean and had all the things we might have needed during our 4 days stay. I never expect much from 1star hotels but this room surprised us in a very nice way! Staff was friendly and helpful and the wi-fi was free :D

It was very easy to get to the hotel as the bus stops right in front of the hotel, there are many museums , cafe and shopping places within walking distance. With a built in kitchen inside it gave us the comfort of making tea and coffee during the winter and heating up the soups (complete kitchen utensils). It was value for money and the place was well-kept […] in terms of basic necessities and cleanliness. The hotel assistance was helpful and more than happy to helped us to carry our heavy luggage up the stairs so it was very welcoming. There is also a supermarket around the corner so for budget travellers, you can go there and get some food to cook inside the unit. The only drawback would be heating system which is not working well but it did gave us some warmth in the cold winter. Nonetheless, it did not spoilt the good atmosphere and ambiance of the hotel. Transport is very easy to come and go to the airport making it a good choice for our stay. Would definitely live here again when I go to Amsterdam again. Läs mer

We liked the location near the Rijksmuseum and Concert Hall. Breakfast was very good and delivered to our room. Staff friendliness varied greatly from person to person. Have nothing to compare it with so don't know if we could have done better for the price or not. Forty stairs to the reception area with another twenty to the shower. My husband and I stayed at this hotel together. Our first impression was the steep mountain of stairs which greeted us once inside the front door. It's not the number (although there were at least 30) that's the problem, but the steepness. If you are elderly or have limited movement, you should not stay at this hotel. The staff were all very friendly […] and helpful and spoke English. They gladly held our bags before we could check in and long after we checked out. The hotel is more like a large converted house than a regular hotel, so our room looked like someone's bedroom. This wasn't a problem, though. Our room had a TV, sink, wardrobe, and a table and chairs. The bathroom and two showers were a few steps from our room. The bathroom was carpeted, which I think caused its bad smell. The carpet was always wet, and my husband informed me the seat doesn't stay up, which could explain the wet carpet. The water pressure of the showers was good, but the temperature went from warm to freezing cold within minutes the when we used them. Breakfast was included in our rate and was delivered between 8-8:30. The following items are provided for each person: 1 hard-boiled egg, 1 slice of cheese, 2 slices of deli meat, 2 slices of toast, 1 slice of whole grain bread, and 1 drink. The rooms have free internet and the reception has a computer which is free to use. The hotel is in a safe area and there are tram stops and a supermarket just outside. As can be seen from this hotel's website the rooms are "traditionally" furnished and decorated. This looks charming but I suspect must make them quite difficult to clean and appeared to contribute to our assessment that this was the dirtiest hotel room that we have ever stayed in. The furniture was dusty and one leg of the small dining table was mouldy, […] as were parts of the window frames and some of the shower edging. The gaps within the old style radiator contained thick clumps of dust. The shower was erratic and difficult to adjust and so it was necessary to have one hand hovering at the taps to avoid being scalded. The edge of the glass shelf above the sink (adjacent to the shower) was broken which might have been a bit dangerous if someone had slipped while using shower. There were a couple of holes in the duvet cover and ( thanks to use of digital camera!) we ascertained that the top of wardrobe was covered with a thick layer of dust.. This hotel is in a fairly good location (the travel directions on the hotel's website were well written and accurate). Breakfast was served in room and was adequate; hot drinks and snacks are apparently available and seemed reasonably priced. With a little more care this could be a great place to stay but for the moment I would urge caution. Läs mer

It's a nice place to spend holidays in Amsterdam.The position of Hotel Bema is too comfortable to reach each place of the city,by feet and with trams(there's a tram station in front of the hotel). Breakfast is so cool,but to reach rooms you have a lot and so strange stairs to do. So,we all love Bema Hotel!

The room was tiny and stuffy and we were never told this at the time of booking. The photos on the website are nothing like the room we were in (false advertisement). Very nice guy on reception though.

Hotel Bema is a cosy little slot opposite Concertgebouw, it's staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the city and it's attractions. The rooms are of ample size and condition for what you're paying for. The only aspect that killed me and my friends every night was climbing the many stairs to our room after a night of adventures. Bema isn't situated […] at the heart of Amsterdam, but it's only 10 minutes walk (2 minutes tram) away from Leidesplein (entertainment area) and there are many tram stops literally yards from the hotel door. Overall it's a warm and friendly place to stay, it's 1 star rating is due to the fact that's its only fire escape is the front door, and the stairs make it non-accessible for the disabled or elderly. The apartment was conveniently located. Although it was comfortable (bed/sofa) it was a bit shabby around the edges and in need of a little tlc. It could have been better laid out - you had to squeeze into toilet and when the door opened it almost touched the fridge in the tiny kitchen. That said, it seemed to represent good value for money. Bema is an adorable little hotel in Amsterdam. Little, however, is an operative word. The room we stayed in was quite small (even by European Standards). Each of the rooms does have a shared bathroom and shower, which I didn't know when booking. It ended up being a non-issue though because the hotel is so small. The service at the hotel was wonderful. […] Everyone was exceedingly kind and friendly throughout my stay. Their breakfast was unlike any other I've had. Instead of serving assorted pastries in a sterile, communal room, they brought a full breakfast to the door each morning. It meant waking up to a nice breakfast and it actively got us out of bed on time every day. The location was very safe, but far away from the city center. It was about half an hour into the center of Amsterdam. It it a nice walk, but it does rain often in Amsterdam, so you have to hope for good weather. There were some restaurants and shops near the hotel, but not nearly the selection you'd get in Amsterdam Centraal. I'd highly recommend the hotel as long as you don't mind a squeeze and either like walking or you're renting a bicycle. Läs mer

Un retour dans le passé mais très agréable. Le style de l'hotel est très ancien et ce n'est pas pour nous déplaire. Le personnel est serviable et fait des efforts pour parler francais. La situation de l'hotel est bien placé, proche des trams et du bus qui mène directement à l'aéroport.

Vi (2 voksne og 2 børn) havde 3 overnatninger i et 4 sengs værelse på Bema og dermed 2 fulde dage i Amsterdam. Parkerede bilen i P-anlæg ved OL stadion 10 min med sporvogn fra hotel. (Også P-pladser tæt ved men dyrt at prrkere på gaden). Ikke for gangbesværede, da der er en stejl trakk op til værelser, men var ikke noget problem for os. Venlig betjening […] og vi nød, at der blev serveret morgenmad på værelset. Morgenmaden bestod af toast m. dertil æg, skinke, ost, syltetøj og juice, samt kaffe og te. Afmålt, men bedre end forventet. Der var lid støv på badeværelset her og der men ellers pænt. Et godt udgangspunkt for at besøge Amsterdam hvor vi for det meste gik til alle seværdigheder. Läs mer

Hotellet ligger perfekt ift. diverse udflugtsmål og ikke mindst det hyggelige kvarter omk. De Pijp. Vi var en familie på 4, som havde et fint stort værelse med fransk altan samt eget toilet og bad.

Huoneisto kaupungilla, jossa asuimme oli siisti ja mukavan matkan päässä nähtävyyksistä. Huoneiston sisustus oli karunlainen, mutta kaikki tarpeellinen löytyi. Henkilökunta oli mukavaa ja palveluhenkistä. Viihdyimme ja suosittelemme.

cet hotel est tres bien situé dans le quartier des musées a 2 minutes a pied de l'arret du tram qui va a la gare centrale en 10 mns chambre propre ,petit dej dans la chambre SVP ! et un tres bon acceuil ! quoi dire d'autre ? n'oubliez pas que pour un routard un hotel sert essenssiellement a dormir !! de ce coté aucun probleme , nous avons tres bien […] dormi apres une journée a se ballader ! a@+ (petit plus ) a la derniere miunte rabais sur les prix des chambres !! Hotellet levede op til anmeldelserne og de forventninger vores familie på fire havde. Dejlig tæt på centrum og nemt at få bil parkeret på nærliggende P+R Olympic stadion. Rimelig morgemad serveret på værelset. Kan ikke anbefales til gangbesværede pga trapper. Lidt støj fra sporvogne-trafik.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und ist gut mit offentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen Zimmer sind klasse, ich hatte einen wunderschönen großen Raum mit sehr gemütlichem Bett und Dusche. Preis-Leistung ist super ! Service sehr freundlich, das Ganze hat etwas sehr familiäres. Das Frühstück wird morgens ins Zimmer gebracht weil es keinen Frühstücksraum […] gibt, das hat etwas romantisches...Frühstück ist oK und passt ins Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis. Läs mer

Хорошо подходит для экономного путешественника. В нашем номере было чисто и уютно, убирались исправно каждый день. Скромный завтрак входил в стоимость и очень нас радовал по утрам. Superb hotel, although the fresh air in the room lacked a bit. We expected a very tidy little room after reading the judgements from others, but we got a ballroom with a peaceful open window on the backside, where we could enjoy some piano training from one of th neighbours (this is not meant ironically: it was quite good and not loud and fur Elise […] we loved to hear before going out in the rainy Amsterdam evening with an umbrella from the very kind hostess). In other words: recommandable, unless you want to be in your own toilet air, as here it is shared with others in the hallway. Hormis une décoration très moyenne voire kitsch, des lumières peu pratiques et le nettoyage de la chambre peu approfondie, cet hôtel nous a permis d'être à proximité de l'arrêt de plusieurs tramways, nous avons pu circuler facilement et découvrir cette super ville qu'est Amsterdam Très bien placé aussi pour les musée (van gogh..) Alt er gennemgående meget slidt her. Det gælder desværre også installationerne: komfur, toilet, bruser. Nyt køle/ fryseskab ankom dagen før vores afrejse, men måtte ikke ibrugtages. Dette apparat virker nok efter hensigten.

L'appartamento che si è stato assegnato era praticamente in centro, in un bel complesso. Era molto grande, pulito e arredato in maniera semplice ma molto carina. Open space salotto e cucina, un bagno e al piano superiore, due camere da letto e un altro bagno con vasca-doccia. L'ingresso era molto ampio e così anche le camere da letto. Dall'hotel all'appartamento […] ci ha accompagnato in auto un ragazzo dell'hotel ed è una cosa che abbiamo molto apprezzato. Läs mer

das hotel ist sehr niedlich, individuell eingerichtete zimmer. frühstück ans bett;) sehr freundliches personal. der preis war prima für die lage. allerdings war das bett sehr antik und eher für runde rücken. der dusch-bereich könnte mal einen wand-anstrich vertragen. doch insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden.
