Kihei Akahi - Maui Condo & Home

This condo was perfect, very clean and comfortable. A full kitchen with pots, pans and appliances made it very convenient for us to cook daily meals and save some money. We didn’t really use the pool. The condo is directly across the street from Kamaole Beach II, which is an ok beach but doesn’t have good waves if you have kids who are desperate to […] boogie board. But you’re a short drive from the best beach in all of Maui which is Big Beach in Makena. Definitely check it out! The condo is also very close to a variety of shops and restaurants, Foodland and Longs Drugs which are both open 24hrs. Longs Drugs is a great and affordable place to buy souvenirs btw. Great place. We stayed in Unit D414. Exactly what we were looking for. One bedroom condo with an ocean view and a full kitchen with washer and dryer. Great experience here and want to come back again soon!

Overall it was a lovely stay on the 6th floor room 600-608. The building is from the 60's or 70's. What made our stay primo was the view! The low hundredes on any floor means you are closer to the ocean. I would have hated the stay if at the back, but we had AWESOME views from the lana'i of the humpback whales and dolphins that buzzed by all day long. […] Best views were early AM & before dusk. Why I gave the rating a 4 was because of ventilation. We were here in winter (high season from Jan thru March) and it is dryer, yet still in the low 70's. In the summer, this unit would suck for sleeping, because there is no A/C in the bedroom. 2 fans barely kept the air circulating even in winter. There was a single wall A/C unit for those on the pull out couch and yes, could have left the windows open all night, but it is an building unit and not well insulated. Also.... if able, make sure to get only an upper unit, not only for views, but cock roaches. On the first night, there were cock roaches on the concrete walkways down by the parking area. They do have a lot of mainenance staff, but my guess is that there are problems with bugs on the ground floor. But that would not deter me from staying here again. In winter and on the 6th floor, I would happily return! Awesome views and very clean inside, well stocked, even right down to boogie boards and beach towels to use. Läs mer

Our trip was excellent and the location could not be better. right beside lots of eating options, and a decent beach for the kids and really nice snorkeling. The Condo is very comfortable in every way. We thought the lack of AC may be an issue but 5 minutes figuring out the ventilation and we were always comfortable. Mahalo for the wonderful stay.

Our accomodations were spacious and comfortable, well equipp ed with extra items not expected such as beach chairs, mats, boogie boards, etc. The grounds were beautiful and the location near many attractions.

My wife and our 11 year old son enjoyed staying at Kehei Akahi. We were impressed how clean it was. The kitchen was fully furnished. For families who prefer to cook, it had everything you need. Just buy the groceries like we did. The beach was across the street and we watched the sunset each night. The only thing I didn't like is that the main office […] didn't have a computer for their guest to use. The front dest employee wasn't helpful in printing my confirmation page that was made through my iphone. I had to use the nearby internet cafe to access my email and print the confirmation page required for our daily activities. I would have given Kehei Akahi a rating of 5 star but lack when it comes down to customer service. Therefore, my rating is 4 star. Despite of lack of customer service, I would recommend Kehei Akahi to my friends and families. Läs mer
