The Plaza Hotel

This was our first time to stay at The Plaza Hotel, and it won't be our last! Our room was beautiful. The hotel was tranquil, and no one ever bugs you. The hotel interior from the moment you walk in makes you feel that you are staying at a place and not a hotel. There is a lot of security at this hotel, so you always feel safe. There is a Food Mall downstairs in the hotel, which is marvelous. We didn't go there until our last day because it is market poorly, and we thought it would be a lot of Las Vegas types of buffets, but it's not, it is beautifuly decorated in Art Nouveau fashion, and it is full of tasty items. There are sit down restaurants there, too. One can also buy cute gift candies, which are packaged in boxes that are real keepsakes. Next time we stay here, I will go to the Food Hall every day just for the pastries. The service at the hotel is impeccable, and The Palm restaurant makes you feel like you have stepped back in time, it is so elegant.

I had a wonderful time! The epitome of luxury.

The hotel is beautiful and well located across from Central Park. The staff was very courteous. There was only one elevator running so wait times were very long and many people and there luggage crammed into one elevator. It stopped on every floor going down!! There is no way to get your own ice. We had to wait half an hour for someone to bring ice to our room. There is no coffee maker or coffee in the room.... you have to order it from room service .... inconvenient. The rooms are lovely and very clean. No bathroom fan so bathroom was very steamy when trying to get ready. Scaffolding right now in front of building.

This fulfilled an item on my bucket list! It was spectacular!

Great location on the SE side of Central Park, wonderful service and fantastic amenities. Pricey but would stay there again for the experience.
