Hotel Lord Byron

Vi hade läst fantastiska recensioner om hotellet och var väldigt excited, men oj vad besvikna vi blev. För nästan 200£/natt hade vi förväntat oss ett hotell som var topnotch. Vi hade även missat att hotellet inte erbjöd pool vilket är ett måste när det är ca 35-40 grader ute. Rummet var litet, första natten funkade inte heller AC'n men gick igång natt nr2. Tv'n gick igång men fanns inga kanaler? Frukosten var inte så speciell, den var ok men inte så fantastisk som vissa beskrivit den. Enda positiva var att vi fick bra motion in till stan varje dag. Åker ni till Rom kan ni lägga samma summa på ett mer modernt, fint hotell mer centralt med pool! Ångrar såå att vi bodde på detta hotellet och la den summan som vi gjorde.

We booked this hotel for our aniversery. While over our normal pricerange I would not say it was costly, and the service was great.

NOT THE SAME AS THE PHOTOS! The hotel is dilapidated. Book just 1 night to try out if you wish to see it with your eyes - Beware that the hotel denied my request for refund after I left after 1 night. I booked 3 nights. Upon arrival, I was disappointed already with the condition of the hotel - on my estimate, partly renovated several years ago and partly dating back to a decade or so. The furniture had scratches and worn-off marks everywhere. The mirror was physically eroded and stained. Had only instant coffee on the table - all facilities the equivalent of a 3-star motel. On my first night, I was woken up by the noise from next room from 12 am to 1 am. Surely something can be said of unbecoming behaviours, but I would not expect this kind of experience in a 5-star hotel. Called front desk but essentially nothing could be done apart from asking the other guests. The very next day I asked to check out and asked if I could have refund of the 2 nights I would not stay - the hotel told me that it was only because I booked through hotels.com so that they could only deal with the request from the platform. After I came back and asked platform for refund, the hotel denied it even though they apologised for my disappointing experience. You are not appologetic, so do not pretend it - I wish the 200 something usd I wasted on you is the last money you could trick people into paying.

Hotel is close to a park quiet area. It’s done in Art Deco style but Needs to be updated. Staff and service is good. Bathrooms are very old not nice. The Mattress was not comfortable it was concave. There is no iron. I would rate under 4 stars.
