The May Fair, A Radisson Collection Hotel

We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and had checked in online before our arrival. We only had to go to the concierge desk to pick up our key. Did not take more than a few minutes. Very smooth and efficient. My partner had injured his knee before we left home and he had some issues with climbing in and out of the bath tub to use the shower. We explained our situation at the front desk and got a new room with a walk-in shower, within minutes. The room was spacious and well equipped with everything you needed, and well cleaned. Throughout our stay we were met with a great level of service and respect. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel at home. The restaurant served a nice breakfast with a buffet and several hot dishes. Dinner menu and selection of wines was also to our liking. The location was perfect in lovely Mayfair with great shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Our only concern was with the hotel restaurant, The May Fair Kitchen, on Saturday evening. The music, played by a DJ, was so loud that a normal conversation was totally impossible. In a bar I can accept that kind of volume, but absolutely not in a restaurant while eating. Other that I gladly give 5 stars for our stay.

- Old and unrefurbished rooms for 350 GBP a night - You could hear everything in the hallway - The receptionist was also rude and pointed out '' all rooms can't be like the suit''. Well, If you do pay 700 GBP for 2 nights with an superior room you still expect a nice one and friendly staff. -Only positive with the hotel is the location, and the bar which is nice during weekends. So overated in generel, would rather spend the amount on The Ned/The London Edition etc. for the same rating.
