I have stayed at this property before (2019) and had a good all-around experience with an event hosting 2500+ people. This year (2022), this is the worst hotel I have experienced in a very long time with one mishap after another (and I allow grace for COVID operational challenges as I am also in a service industry). My reservation was incorrectly listed, my hotel bathroom was improperly cleaned including black dye stains on the bottom of the tub. The head of housekeeping even advised this room should have been blocked from available inventory. Although I prepaid my reservation, I was charged for my reservation TWICE…plus a hold on incidentals. When I spoke with management the first time regarding charges, I was advised that there was nothing notes on their end/system yet I had my credit card statement for proof. There were minimal food options available and if open, service was incredibly slow due to demand.
I was attending with a large conference (2500+ folks). I am well versed how contracts are drafted for such large groups. Some attendees in my party were not extended the conference rate for part of their stay. Check-in lines were exceptionally long as there was one service attendant staffed on the FIRST day of the conference (Late AM/Early PM). For such a large contract, the hotel was severely unprepared for our group.
I will also be sending an email to Marriott Corporate as this should be addressed immediately. Save your energy and money!
