Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal

We absolutely loved everything about Hotel Monaco, our room was beautiful, the staff was very friendly & helpful and the location was perfect. The only downside was the bed, it was hard as rock, we were so sore the next day, neck, shoulders and hips. We enjoyed Venice so much that we decided to stay another night and thought maybe they could put a mattress topper on but they were fully booked but said to check back in later in the morning incase any rooms got cancelled. Came back later and they offered us a major upgrade at an amazing deal it ended up being the best room in the hotel. Better bed pillows and mattress. Also a note to our concierge young guy who gave us a recommendation to the restaurant Al Paradiso was the most amazing meal and we’ve had in Italy.

Great location

We had a room with a canal view which was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to St. Marks Square if it is your first time there for sightseeing and the water taxi is right out the door....a very easy and efficient way to get around the island. The hotel has a very nice waterfront restaurant but since we did not eat there I can not offer any comments on the food.

This hotel is in a great location. It’s clean and the staff were very nice to us and our room was comfortable. But it’s extremely expensive for what it is. It’s nice, but nothing fantastic and for the very high price it doesn’t even include breakfast. I’d rate this hotel 3 out of 5.

Our stay was wonderful lavish rooms beautiful hotel
