Morrison House Old Town Alexandria, Autograph Collection

Just a quick overnight to meet up with friends. We live about 90 mins away, so we sort of have to stay. This is an extremely convenient location to Old Town. Walk everywhere. Uber’s are easily available as well. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are small, but functional. We slept and showered there. My only complaint is that every room (we were actually in one but got moved-wrong bed size) had a smell. Like a peoply smell. Like when you get too close to someone in an elevator and you smell their head, that doesn’t smell freshly washed....that smell. So, that’s a bit off-putting. I’m not sure if they need to steam clean everything or what, but the smell needs to be neutralized. We have stayed there each time we go to Alexandria, but now I’m not sure I will go back. Time will tell.

Super location, close to shops and restaurants. Shuttle service to and from the airport is a plus. staff exceptional.

The only thing I disliked was the fact that the room didn’t have a microwave. My husband and I enjoyed the stay overall..

I have been staying at the Morrison House since it was privately owned. It has changed, I liked it better before it was a Kimpton or a Marriott, but the location is great and the bar is friendly and easy to get a nice meal.
