Hampton Inn Memphis-Walnut Grove/Baptist East

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The first room I got there was a piece of metal sticking out the bottom of the bed that my boyfriend and son hit their leg on and caused them to bleed. There was no fridge or microwave in this room and there was mold on the light shade and the room was dirty. We got moved rooms and the ceiling was covered in mold! So we got moved room again and it was better but still not clean. The hotel would not refund us and my boyfriend left his ID in one of the room and it disappeared!

They were not very friendly but was kind. I was scared from time i walked in to the time i left. When we went to eat we could tell when we got back someone had been in our room. And our tissue holder had been dropped in the comode an it stunk. It was not wet before we left to eat. I wouldnt want to go there by myself. But thank you for the price not being outrageous. Check in was easy. Service was friendly and helpful. Cleanliness was average...there was hair left over in the bathroom from the last occupants and a towel left under the sink. Also, when I dropped my phone, I saw toenail clippings on the floor next to the bed.

The room was dirty and bed was sinking in.

There is not a fridge in the rooms. Even the cheap motels have fridges.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn/Suite In Memphis Walnut Grove/Baptist East. We checked in and took our bags to the room and left. When we returned we realized that we were given a handicap room and we asked to change the room. Desk clerk stated that he could not change our room due to Covid-19 and short staff to re-clean the room. The room had water that ran into the room from the shower and this made the room have a bad smell. Above the sink the light cover was hanging off and the close door was hanging off the hinges. Overall the experience wasn’t good.

I had booked a handicap accessible room with a walk in shower. Got neither. A single grab bar in the shower does not make it handicap accessible.

All but a couple of outlets in the first room did not work. Had to be moved to a different room because air quit working. Second room froze me out - thermostat didn't work correctly. Bathroom tub faucet would not turn on so could not take a shower/bath. Outlets did not hold the chargers in tightly.

The rooms were clean and the location was good-right next to the hospital. The staff were wonderful. I had messed up my own reservation and the manager was so friendly and patient.
