Wonderful hotel and stay
I used to live in the area for years and but never experienced the hotel until coming back for a friend's wedding. The hotel is wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. I stayed in a river side suite and loved it. The view of the river's rapids and kayakers playing was amazing. Having the extra space of a living room was great. Very comfortable furniture and bedding. Swimming pool was nice, the sauna was relaxing and the exercise room provided an adequate "vacation" workout. The weather for our stay prevented a comfortable walk along the riverwalk and the downtown festival hadn't started its season yet. Those would have been bonuses. Things to understand about the hotel- valet parking starts at 5pm and a large area of the parking lot is cordoned off or blocked with cones. After asking I was told that overnight hotel guests could park in those areas or take advantage of the valet service. Would've been nice to be told that upon check in. The only below EXCELLENT part of the room was the shower/bathroom. It was nice, clean and functional but not on par with the rest of the facilities.
