Hotel Chicago Downtown, Autograph Collection

Check in sucked. We arrived promptly at 4:00pm for check in after driving for two hours. We were told no rooms were available. As we questioned further about how long we would have to wait we were told that they give special late check out privileges to their “premier” members and our wait time could be up to five hours. We were told we could wait in lobby or the bar. I was furious as were the rest of my family members who were with me. We complained to the lady who just kept telling us their was nothing that could be done. I told her that was unacceptable and would need to speak to a supervisor for a refund. Within 15 minutes two rooms suddenly became available however they were not what we reserved. But good enough. Very bad business practices. The rooms itself were very nice. The buffet breakfast was nothing to write home about.

I really enjoyed myself. The location was perfect. The bar in the lobby had very good drinks.

Door man was super helpful! Everyone was very nice and the location was great close to alot of stuff!!

The room seemed dusty like the hvac unit wasn’t serviced the room was organized but the bed was lumpy sheets were dirty Woke up terrible and noticed curly little black hairs on sheets that clearly weren’t mine I mentioned it to the clerk at the desk but at no time received no answers or apologies I was way too tired to complain And just wanted to go home , I feel I should have been comp something a simple we are sorry something , but nothing and so With that i will not ever stay or recommend this hotel to anyone i feel that staff is probably overwhelmed and underpaid and the owners simply Just dont care About there Guest and put profits over everything else!

The hotel is beautiful, very comfortable and in a wonderful location. I was surprised, however, that there are some small amenities that don't seem to come standard. The toilet paper is cheap and super thin and they charge $20/day for WiFi.
