The room itself was recently updated and includes a kitchenette with efficiency-sized refrigerator and stove. The room was very clean and plenty of towels provided. It had a newish and very powerful a/c unit and fan, and a large TV with plenty of viewing choices. The property is located 2 blocks from the Vistamar beach, many shopping, dining and entertainment options, and the really cool Hugh Taylor Birch park. It was very easy to get in and out of the area by car, and it is very close to the currently free electric people mover system and the Intracoastal water taxi. Due to complete remodeling of the second larger building, we were practically alone the whole week and had the pool area to ourselves. The best feature was the manager Chris, who had several spot-on restaurant recommendations and other ideas to make our stay a memorable one.
Now for the "bad" stuff: The room has tons of slatted glass windows. If you don't want to be awakened by the first beam of sunlight in the morning, you should bring something to cover the windows! The king-size bed was some type of memory foam and on a very low platform. It had a big divot and was very awkward for me to extricate myself in the morning. And the number one thing we didn't like was the cold water came out almost hot from all spigots. We still enjoyed ourselves immensely and look forward to all the improvements they are making in the next year.
