We stayed in the “premium“ renovated tower rooms. We were on the six floor. The room had a very nice view, was very up-to-date, clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The balcony was somewhat small, however, that was really not an issue. The room had a small refrigerator, a coffee maker, a hair dryer, and various toiletries.
Did you get off the elevator on the six floor, there is a beautiful sitting area with a great view of the ocean and ample seating. The other floors do not appear to have this feature. We sat there almost every night before we retired to our room. It’s a nice place to have a drink (BYOB), play cards, or just sit and talk.
The property itself is extremely well-maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Before my trip, I read numerous reviews about the property. I noted that the “traditional“ or non-renovated rooms may have some “issues“. I can’t personally comment on those rooms, since I did not see them. I suppose that is to be expected, given the fact that they cost substantially less than the “premium“ renovated rooms. know what you’re reserving.
The location of the hotel is outstanding. The pool is nice/adequate. there is essentially one restaurant (Hui Hui). It has live entertainment at night, a nice bar area, and a reasonably good selection on the menu.
Maui has become extremely expensive. Prices for all accommodations (hotels and condominiums) are exorbitant. But this hotel is the best deal on Ka’anapali Beach.
