2/10 Dåligt

I do not understand how this got an 8.6 rating overall. It's NOT a hotel room. It's a dorm room, not a hotel room at all! It should not be on this website. We have stayed all over Estes Park. We have stayed in lesser ranked places and have loved them. We immediately tried to get a different place, but there was no availability anywhere. There's no television. There's no A/C. The walls are paper thin. The building smells like mildew. We were forced to stay one night for lack of options. I did find another place for the following evening. The people who ran the YMCA were great and refunded us for the second night which is why I gave the one star. The property is beautiful surrounding it, but it was not at all what we were expecting. If my husband would have allowed us to sleep in the car that night, I would have opted for that.

This place was a surprise to me! Loads of activities to choose from. The guided hikes are amazing. the staff were very pleasant! The only thing that would make this place perfect is the AC! can’t wait to go back!

Amazing property
The resort grounds were amazing, very beautiful view of the rocky mountain National Park. Wild life was all around the resort. There is so much to do on the grounds such as Basketball, Volleyball, Roller skating, arts and craft, tennis, mini golf, rock climbing, hiking and ect. The only draw backs is no TV or Air conditioner. There is so much to do we really didn't miss the TV except to have on while going to sleep. Only one night during the 6 night stay was really hot during late June/early July but it was night. One hit to help with the heat in the room is take an extension cord and put the box fan in the window blowing out for about 45 mins to suck the hot air out of the room then turn it around and blow the cool outside air into the room for the rest of the night. Once we got the extension cord and could put the box fan in the window it was comfortable for the rest of the stay.

Room descriptions are misleading - call the property before you book. Otherwise great location, everything available on site. Lots of deer and elk that roam the grounds.

Family vacation,toasty, overall tons to do there
The place was super nice and had lots of things on site to do....and even could eat breakfast lunch and dinner, however if staying during the day the rooms get toasty as there is no AC, there was a couple of nights it was almost miserable thankfully we took another fan ..we had 3 going and was still hot .we are from Texas so we know hot! Other than that the food was tasty with good options for adults and kids. However they did run out of stuff like syurp so make sure you go early to get the best picks of food.

Won’t recommend if you are looking for a hotel
Not hotel service - more like a hostel stay. Need to make beds ourselves. No amenities except bed sheets. No hair dryer, shower gel, shampoo etc. Room very smelly. Need to take out trash ourselves as well. Breakfast only include 2 people despite the fact that the room actually sleeps 6 people.

Nice view of the Rockies.
This is a large facility with many lodges and cabins for rent. I stayed in a lodge room that slept 6, one queen and 2 bunk beds, so this would be great for a large family. It would have been cramped with 6 people in the room, but if you're just sleeping there it's not a big deal. My room had no amenities: no tv, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. I never saw an ice machine and the only vending was soft drink machines. There are two restaurants on site. I only went to one of them and it was ok for grab and go. One day it wasn't open when it was suppose to be open, so I didn't get breakfast. Luckily a nice woman who worked there brought muffins for her staff and offered me some. There are a lot of activities for kids and adults like basketball, tennis, 4 square, mini golf, hiking; those were some I saw or knew about. YMCA is just s few miles from the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. I would stay here again, especially if the restaurants are open when they are suppose to be. The restaurants close early too (8pm) so if you want to eat late you're out of luck. There wasn't much open in Estes Park after 9pm either.
