Mayaland Hotel And Bungalows

Realy good location if you want to visit Chtizen Itza. The hotel has an own entrance to the location that are perfect when you have kids and dont want to spend time in queues.

Mayaland var en positiv överraskning med mycket bra service och god mat. Stora bekväma rum och hela anläggningen är vacker med massvis av fåglar och andra djur. Tyvärr stannade vi för kort tid för att hinna utnyttja någon av poolerna. Läget är perfekt intill Chichen Itza så man kommer in före budsturisterna.

Ett fantastiskt ställe med egen ingång till Chichen Itza. Vi bodde två nätter och var helt tagna av detta hotell. En juvel i djungeln. Maten och servicen var fantastisk, rummet var stort och fint. Vi gick på deras visning om Mayakulturen i deras planetarium vilket var en perfekt grund för vår guidade tur av Chichen Itza dagen efter. Vi tog varsin massage som var fantastisk. Det finns tre pooler på området. En fantastisk totalupplevelse, mycket mer än bara ett hotell.

Not up to par for the cost. Got food sickness from dinner. Not enough hot water for jacuzzi in room

This is a very lovely hotel. The grounds are beautiful and you are at Chichen Itza, we had a room with a view of the observation tower. The staff was very helpful we got in very late and I was super tired they parked my car for me and were very quick checking us in. The breakfast was pay at the property it was less than 200 pesos and was yummy. The private entrance was closed but they shuttled us the Chichen Itza. They had a two pools one was deep. The only reason I am not giving this place a 10 is because of the bathroom ceiling it looked like there had been a leak and the ceiling wasn’t repaired and because of not enough hot water. I choose the room because of the tub, which was huge, amazing, jetted and could probably fit 4 people. But there was not enough hot water to feel it and that made me very sad. I don’t have a bathtub at my home so it is something that I like to enjoy when I stay at places.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. The access to Chichen Itza is excellent. It is a modern, beautiful hotel, but with a very relaxed feel. You can hear hundreds of birds at any time. We took the horseback riding excursion, and it was wonderful. The pools are large and clean. The food was great and reasonably priced. I hope to go back again.

The moment you arrive the staff is curtious and welcoming.

We were in a garden-view bungalow, as booked. The hotel is gorgeous, with lush gardens, three pools (two of them in the bungalow areas), and direct access to the archaeological site. The room itself was comfortable with a very large bathroom, but could have had better reading light and more accessible outlets -- had to move the beds to find any. WiFi only in lobby area annoying, but it was advertised in advance. Good breakfast at the hotel restaurant for a reasonable price.

We booked the hotel based on two main factors, which were the location and the ability to book the sunrise Chichen Itza tour. The hotel is of the grand style of the early 20th century and everything is open air, which was fantastic in March although I don't know how comfortable dining in July would be! The rooms are very large and ours had a view of the observatory. Staff (particularly singling out Giovanny) were extremely pleasant and helpful. No elevator as this is a historic building that was expected but the staff handled the heavy bags quickly. The AC unit quickly cooled the room so was comfortable for sleep. The grounds are not large but we got to wander around, see the planetarium show (OK if you have the time), pools, played billiards, hit the spa (above average but outdoors so may not be as pleasant in July). Main draw of the hotel was the sunrise tour of Chichen Itza, where we met the guide in the hotel restaurant at 0445 and were listening to his Mayan stories, songs and heritage as part of the tour. Bibi was fantastic and we had as long as we wanted to wander and take photos once the tour completed. The best part was when the other couple of tour groups left and we were essentially alone at Chichen Itza at 0730 for about 20-30 minutes. Amazing.
