Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa Cabo San Lucas

Great family property! Beautiful property. The hotel was located about a mile from Marina. Several delicious restaurants, from Mexican, sushi, Italian restaurants. You also have beach access!

Beware this is Not a Hotel this is a timeshare in disguise. Our overall trip was less than satisfactory since we had booked 2 rooms with 2 beds in each and instead we were given 1 bed and 1 sofa bed in each. Each of us are ladies in our sixties and certainly the 2 ladies that had to use the sofa beds all week were most disappointed. We did not book sofa beds. The hotels excuse was they are really a Timeshare hotel and have no control over the room assignments. This property should not be allowed to present and sell itself as a hotel unless it is prepared to fulfill the obligations of a hotel and that is to give clients the rooms they booked and paid for. This is not a hotel beware.

Villa del Palmar is an awesome resort. We bought the all-inclusive package, which was really great for a family. The package includes all your food and drinks. Some menu items are premium, but in all the meals we had during the week, there were only one or two menu items that were premium. So rest assured, you won’t be eating burgers and fries all week. Keep in mind additional tips are not included. Definitely leave tips for the staff as they were helpful and friendly throughout the resort. The pools and hot tubs are amazing. We all enjoyed them. The kids loved them so much it was hard getting them out of the pool at the end of the day. Another note on the food, it was really great. The breakfast buffet has a big selection. At lunch we typically ate at the taco bar, which had an amazing selection of tacos. For dinner we varied it up. The evening entertainment is fun. Nicely put on. Some of the rooms have a view of the stage, like ours did, so we watched each show from the terrace. The resort is run by Villa Group, which is a vacation club. So the concierges will try to sign you up for a presentation. Today most resorts operate this way, even Disney, Marriott, Sheraton, etc. Overall we loved our week in Cabo and can’t wait to come back. Villa del Palmar is one of the nicest resorts I’ve stayed at.

This is a terrific location but the property Villa del Palmar is dated. They do try to push the timeshare issue and dangle many enticements to include trying to get you to sign up for the all inclusive option. We had a junior suite with a double bed, very small and sheets were rough and did not fit the bed.

Hotels.com did the old bait and switch on us. We booked an all-inclusive and arrived with room only. Everything was recorded but the manager lied and said they listened to the conversation and decided they did nothing wrong. But when I told him we had spoken to a different agent two times and for almost an hour going over every little detail, including the part about the all-inclusive, he pretended that someone else had listened to that conservation. I've never had such a bad experience in the over 50 all-inclusive I have been to. I will fight this until the bitter end but I caution anyone using this site. Not worth the hassle. Definitely ruined our trip since we spend three hours before check-in trying to resolve it and it never got resolved.
