Very helpful and friendly staff! The location is great - not far from the train station, walking distance to Rialto, Doge palace etc. but at the same time quiet thanks to being located on a side street. The breakfast wasn't much but OK (by Italian standards).
The room was a letdown, unfortunately, for several reasons:
1. We booked an "economy double room". This was not a double room by any standards - it was a very small single room with a slightly wider bed. Only one bedtable, only one chair, only one bed lamp... So cramped we filled up almost half the floor space with our suitcases! In the bathroom, the only space to put your stuff is on the quite small washbasin.
2. There is a VERY small fridge, more like an electric cooler, that doesn't get very cold.
3. There are only two electrical outlets. If you want to charge your phones you must unplug the bed lamp and/or the "fridge".
4. There was always a bad smell in the room.
5. There are quite a lot of mosquitos. The only possible way in for them must be through the air conditioning. Why don't the owners fix this with a mosquito net?
6. In the shower, the water goes back and forth between very hot and very cold, with shorter intervals of good temperature.
7. The doors are thin - sound travels well between corridor/stairs and rooms.
All in all - great location and nice staff, but it's almost a rip-off to rent this cramped room as a double.
