Comfortable hotel / apartment for family
Transportation: Airport --hotel (bus to the bus station at 5:th avenue (150 pesos / person cash, 50 minutes), and taxis from busstation to hotel (50 pesos, 5-10 minutes). Or taxi Airport to hotel (500 pesos, 40 minutes). The hotel: Great location, very quiet and calm in the evenings. The terrace on the second floor is great, but our pool was pretty cold even after a day under the sun. The cleaning is good but takes almost an hour. Don´t forget to tip the maid! Due to extra costs, we bought our own drinking- water, and dishwasher detergent for the kitchen. We also had to ask the staff for a pot / kettle for the kitchen. The apartments are privately owned by other guests, therefore there are some rules for kids under 18. For example our 2 year old son was not welcome to the common big pool area on the terrace, even though the area was empty almost every day. The second common pool area on the entrance floor is adapted for smaller kids, with one deep pool and one smaller with only 50 centimitres of water. It takes 5 minutes to walk from the hotel to the 5:th avenue. There are almost always taxis waiting just outside the hotel. Otherwise you can find them just 2 blocks up near the 5:th avenue. We bought all our grocerys at Walmart´s. It costs 50 pesos to get to Walmart´s with a taxi (takes 5-10 minutes). For every day grocerys you can walk 3-4 block straight up and find two smaller grocery-stores called Oxxo.
