Grand Hotel Liberty

Had a great stay, booked the "SPA Suite" and the quality of the room matched the price-range, but unfortunatly the rooms "Mountain view" was a small square windows located about 1,6meters up. I could see the top of a mountain, sure, but my wife who is shorter only saw the sky. This small windows made the room feel a litte claustrophobic at first, but from day 2 and forward it was nothing that we spent to much thought on. Great breakfast, great service, the spa was nice and the outside pool area 5/5. The hotel itself is a little dated BUT the rooms (our at least) was in great shape.

Det tråkiga med det här hotellet var bristen på vänlig och serviceinriktad personal. Vid incheckningen tittade de knappt upp på oss och överlag så verkade all personal väldigt stressad och de hade bistra miner. Rummet var dock fint och väldigt modernt med paneler där man kunde styra alla lampor, jalusier, ventilation mm. Badrumsprodukterna var väldigt bra och väldoftande! Poolområdet utomhus var fint men poolen väldigt grund. Frukostmatsalen rymde säkert 100 personer vilket inte gav något direkt lugn, men ett extra plus måste ges till den kock som lagade supergoda omeletter och pannkakor på beställning :).

Mycket fint hotell på perfekt läge i Riva del Garda. Blev rekommenderad detta av en kompis och vi blev inte besvikna! Väldigt fräscha och nyrenoverade rum med all bekvämlighet. Trevlig bar och bra frukost. Polen kunde vi inte använda eftersom det regnade men den såg väldigt bra ut. Gratis parkering på inhägnat område är ju ett plus också. Här kommer vi bo igen!!

Nice hotel with free parking. Walking distance into town...only about 5-10 minutes. The room was nice but very tiny and didn't have a view. Good value though.

We had a very modern room which suited us very well. It was kept immaculate by the friendly lady who serviced it. The hotel is an interesting mix of old and new, the indoor pool was lovely and warm and the reclining area beside it was very pleasant. Breakfast Buffet had a good range of items to choose from. Reception Staff were pleasant but seemed a little unsure at times and we felt that perhaps more training was needed to really meet a 4 star rating. The hotel is in an ideal location with everything just a short stroll away. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful well maintained old building set within a short walk of Riva town centre and the Lake. Very very clean, wonderful and friendly staff, excellent outdoor and indoor pool/spa facilities available on site. Been to this hotel for 5 years in a row and each year I can see marked improvements in the facilities. Highly recommended hotel in a wonderful location.

Classical hotel. Beautiful buildings and pool. Good breakfast too.

The hotel is in a good location and the amenities are excellent, including the pool, spa and bar area. Having booked a standard double room, we were allocated a room overlooking the pool / car park which was good. The room had electric blinds which we closed on the first night, as there are no blackout curtains. The problem came the next morning, as the blinds did not open, and we spent Saturday and Sunday in a room with predominantly no window, even though the problem was reported immediately. We were eventually moved to another room, which turned out to be a small single room which was far from ideal for two people. We were informed that the hotel did not have a maintenance engineer at the weekend, albeit on the Saturday morning informed the problem would be fixed that day. Having booked a three night break at the hotel, the issue of no natural light, multiple visits to reception and having to move to a single room spoilt our holiday and let down the hotel.

Very nice room, very good breakfast, close to center of town.
