Candlewood Suites League City

Sandalwood Suites was very reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and the transaction process was hassle free. The room was very nice and clean.

Plain Jane the hotel looks dated even though it is fairly new. Tiny television and remote did not work and never turned it on.

I came with a colleague for a conference and was granted a double bed as requested on line, and was told there were no double beds due to hosting 50+ Harvey impacted families. The property was odorous and not one I will visit again.

The beds were very uncomfortable, but more concerning was the deadbolt lock which did not lock. The door also could be pushed in a full 1/4" without the deadbolt. Because I was a woman alone, for security purposes I moved the refrigerator in front of the door every night. When I reported the lock problem on check-out I was told the deadbolt wasn't really necessary anyway and the loose fit of the door also wasn't a security concern. It was nice to have a kitchen since there is no breakfast served and the hotel was quiet.

We had a very pleasant stay & found the most wonderful restaurant with great brisket right next door. With each room having a kitchenette, we could eat our meals right in the comfort of our spacious room.
