we received better 5 star treatment else where
Our initial check in was nice , reception is lovely. Room was clean , beds were comfortable. However my partner and I are backpackers and arrived on a bike which caused some issues, every time we arrived in the hotel or drove out we were greeted by rude security staff telling us to park a few hundreds yards away from room. We were questioned every time we drove in asking where we are going and do we stay here. We wonder if we would of received the same treatment if we arrived in a Mercedes?? At midnight during a huge thunder storm security shouted at us to walk around to the other side of the hotel and park else where. However the manager was helpful in this situation. We took a trip to the casino , staff were rude we felt unwelcomed and left. Nice pool and hotel. But wouldn’t stay again. Very prestigious.

The area is up and coming. In a couple years it’ll be perfect. The hotel is great though. Plus if you win at the casino, you end up staying for free ;)

Wonderful Stay
A truly beautiful hotel. Service was fantastic as was the room. A very comfortable 3 nights were spent here and if I was to stay in Ha Long I would not hesitate to stay here again

Got a free upgrade to a suite. However furniture and fittings were old, air-conditioning in the room wasn't working so we had to sleep in the living room.
