Hotel Rochat Basel

Very convenient location for visiting the old mediaval city and excellent value for Switzerland. Good transport links for using the city bus tour. Modern, clean rooms with comfortable beds, good shower and bathroom toiletries. Very warm welcome from the male receptionist and offered coffee before we departed the following morning. Walking distance to city centre with a variety of restaurant choices and sightseeing.

Very friendly welcome, upgraded, great advice for dinner, what to see and do. Room was very clean and modern. Breakfast was good, lots of hot options. Location was very central.

No one around to help with luggage. Had to take it up a flight of stairs and then up to second floor in elevator.

Nice hotel, centrally located and very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was the scrambled eggs were very runny and under cooked. Luckily I didn’t get sick from eating them but under cooked eggs can be hazardous.

My only real complaint is that while they state to ask for help, just ask and they will be happy to assist, it just didn’t seem anyone wanted to offer. I asked if we would have help, counter person said yes, but the young man in the lobby did nothing. Still not sure what his job was since I never saw him doing anything. On the positive side, the room was very clean, large, and the shower was good sized. Bed was a little lower than most. Full breakfast was good. I would recommend the hotel.
