Chopin Boutique B&B

A perfect little hotel for those who are tired of huge personless hotels.The rooms are spacios and made in the old-fashioned style. The staff is very friendly. It is just five minutes' walk from the centre, the Old City. One can loan a bicycle for free and listen to a short Chopin concert for some sum of money in the evening. I would like to see a better shower gel and body lotion inthe bathroom.

We came late for check in. The message was that you could check in 24 hours, but nobody was there, nobody came when we used the clock. So eventually we made a phone call and then we got help. But the key cards did not work, so it took another 30 minutes before we eventually were settled at our rooms. The rooms were big and nice, but a little naked. The breakfast was good the first day, but it changed the other days and was not as good the other days. We tried to get some tourist advises from the reception employees, but the answers were very vague and unsure. When we checked out, we asked the reception girl to order a taxi for us, as we were leaving very early the next morning. The taxi never came (if it was not over 15 minutes late). So either it was that late or the girl never ordered one. We forced to fetch a taxi directly in the street. So my overall impression of the hotel is not so good, even if the rooms and location was good. It was expensive for a 3 star hotel and it was not at all worth that price. I'm disappointed!

A great stay in a delightful hotel. A pleasant walk. From Old City and 2 mins walk from National Museum. Breakfast excellent and evening concerts enjoyable.

I just wish it was longer

The hotel itself, the rooms, and the furniture are comfy and unique. Well located, within 15-20 minute walking distance, to all the old town tourist sites, and just a couple of blocks from many fine restaurants for evening dining. Easy Uber or cab ride from the main museums. Really enjoyed the authentic Polish breakfasts as we met and interacted with fellow travelers (and the owner) from many parts of the world around the family-style tables. Make sure you attend one of the B&B's nightly Chopin recitals; that added a special touch to this visit. And really loved the "water closet" in our room--you'll have to see it to appreciate it! Many save-the-environment innovations throughout the residence, including bee breeding, honey production on the roof!
