101 Stars Motel

The motel was clean and well equipped, with a full kitchenette, dishes, soap, etc. It’s nice and close to the airport, and we didn’t have any trouble finding it. The bed was comfortable, although it had some kind of heating pad on it with big plastic knobs that were not very comfortable. The room only had a sliding glass door, which was a little unusual. The service was good, although it took a while to get checked in. My main complaint about the motel is that it is located on a very busy intersection. The rooms don’t have air-conditioning, but opening the windows to get some air means hearing the constant sound of traffic all night long. Even with the windows closed, the traffic was pretty loud and made it difficult to sleep. So overall it was a clean comfortable convenient hotel, but probably works best for very sound sleepers.

Close to everything we needed and had good off street parking & also had everything needed and seemed very clean and tidy

We stayed for 1 night, after traveling from Queenstown in order to catch the Transalpine Train. Check in was simple and the room was very clean, WiFi was fine.Owners were cool and extended the laundry hours a bit. The motel is only 5 minutes from the train station, but nothing in the immediate area to walk to for dining. If I was taking Kiwi rail the next morning, this is where I would stay again.

Really helpful. I left my shoes behind. Emily at the Motel kindly packaged them up and posted them to motel we had moved onto. Exceptional service.

Due to a mix up on our part, we got our booking wrong. The staff were very helpful in finding us alternative accommodation nearby. We gave our booking with 101 Stars to a relative and they really enjoyed the stay
