Somerset Inn

Great customer service, however, it was too loud. You can hear every time people opened doors and closed them. There was also very loud talking until 2 in the morning and I had to call reception so they could stop it. Spent a horrible night because of the loud noise. Besides that, it was a good hotel and great service.

The room was not completely ready when we got in to the room (no water, not enough slippers, electric coffee pot is not working). However, staffs are all kind and helpful.

It is good 10-15 mins by taxi to Hotel from airport. You will be dropped off 20 meters from hotel because taxi cannot drive down narrow streets to drop you off in front of Hotel. The staff will be waiting to help take you and luggage to Hotel. Room was old with TV and AC not working. Staff was great and breakfast was good. Stayed there one night because arrived late and boat transfers to Maldives we’re not running til the morning.

We spent one night at the Somerset Inn close to the centre of Male. It was a fantastic little boutique hotel. The room was small, but basically what you would expect by European standards. It was nicely decorated, with cupboard and desk space. A good bathroom. The breakfast area was good and breakfast was quite nice. Staff were really friendly and incredibly helpful, organising our transport to and from the airport and giving us some local advice. I'd stay there again without question and it really made for a nice day in Male, which is overlooked by many people.

A perfect place for a stopover; they pick you up and also drop you back at the right place for your resort sea plane ride or local ride. The staff was very friendly. Included breakfast was good, not great but enough to get you started. Overall I highly recommend this place as a stopover when you have one night in Male.

Room is ok, bathroom is small. Breakfast was also ok with more than basic choices, some rice, bread, fruits, cereal and coffee. Staff was ok not very helpful when calling to arrange airport pick up. Location is the only draw back as it is very much inside a neighborhood and far way from the ferry terminal. Also there 2 somerset hotels, so make sure the taxi knows the difference, most locals only know the main somerset in the center.

I stayed one night before heading out on a boat trip. The airport transfer went well. I was met at arrivals and taken by van to Male. The room was small but adequate with a small bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities and a scale in the closet. There was AC. This is definitely a budget hotel but the staff were helpful. Breakfast is included and is served in the small lobby with limited seating. The wifi was good. The next day a van took me to the ferry for the airport. The Somerset Inn is fine for a short stay.

Great for a sleepover on the way to our resort. Exceptionally clean bathroom. I regret that our stay ended up only being 5 hours due to having to catch our seaplane.

Staff very helpful. Checked and sorted out arrangements with our next hotel. Rooms are tiny but comfortable and modern. Cars can’t drive all the way to the hotel so don’t be surprised when you pull up in a tiny alleyway!

Such an easy, clean and convenient place to stay. The complimentary airport shuttle took time but they were there to meet us immediately upon arrival and fully organized our transfer with an unrelated island resort the next day. The service was very professional and friendly. Would stay again.
