Hotel Dorado La 70

Excellent

Hotel is very clean and well administrated with very courteous and attentive staff. Also very good security. Only wish we would have known before booking that our room would not have any windows to the outdoors. Also, in a room for four people, there should be four sets of towels not just one hand towel and two bath towels.

Hotel is in a busy part of town. While accessing the safes in the lobby to check out. My bag was stolen by a group who was sitting in the lobby plotting. The entire thing was caught in camera. The hotel needs to do a better job about who they let sit around watching the tourist.

The staff was not welcoming at all. No smiles on their faces which is how you want to be greeted while on vacation. We rented 4 rooms for a family reunion and all of us were disappointed for different reasons. The security guards/bartenders were the most attentive. The front desk staff needs customer service training and the rest of the maids walking around. We were 4 in our room we noticed the next day that only 2 towels were left in our room. I requested the other 2 which were provided and the next day the maids while cleaning our rooms took them back. I complained at the front desk and they said that the maids were not used to more than 2 people in each room so they are not used to seeing 4 towels. Yet, we were charged extra guest fee of 2 people when we booked and the room had 2 queens beds/2 sofas. The maids should have this info. We were also left without out face towels and the towel for after showering for the floor. The bar closes early and so does the restaurant. No room service after 9 pm. The do not disturb sign is good for nothing because the maids still came into our room with the sign on the door. Once we were not there and another time while we were still in bed. None of our rooms had windows so we didn't know if it was daylight or night time. Toilet paper was also brought one time during our 8 day stay, thank goodness we had brought flushable wipes. If I visited Colombia again I would stay in El Poblado as they may treat tourists better.
