Unfortunately, our stay with you at STORY was anything but good, and that is what this review will reflect.
We had the misfortune of living in a "house" with screaming toddlers who cried all night. We could not use the balcony at any time during our stay because one/some of the neighbors were smoking cigars/cigarettes so it smelled awful. Even if we just opened the balcony door, a smell came into the room. This was something I was in contact with STORY about during our stay as well, but since there was "only one night left" there was never any talk of changing to another house/villa.
Other reflections that cannot reflect such an expensive 5-star hotel:
We tried to book a table at the Japanese restaurant, sometime during our three nights. But all the times were fully booked, so there was no chance for us to eat there.
We showered in cold water every night. There was also no hot water in the bathtub or in the sink.
Ordering/pressing the button at the pool worked very poorly. We had to push 4-5 times before any of the staff came to us, and this was outside of prime-time.
The coffee at breakfast was automatic coffee - also the cappuccino. You might think that an expensive 5-star hotel like this should be able to have a barista making the coffee.
The cleaning staff changed our pillows after the second night. Why do we wonder? From having two hard and two soft pillows in the bed, all of a sudden we got four super soft pillows that made it impossible to have a good night.
