Best Western Plus Astana

Easy hotel for airport taxis to find, is right in the centre of the new town within short walking distance of the central avenue and palace. Views out the front are onto one of the main roads and a modern government apartment building. Be aware that soldiers will question anyone taking photos of this and the palace and only tourists will be allowed to do this (in moderation). Found the reception efficient and helpful including detailing what taxis should charge. The lifts are small, most of the rooms are long and narrow but we’ll presented. Temperature was controllable by radiator knobs, bathroom door couldn’t close properly, gels were provided rather than soap and deadbolt wouldn’t work, however good beds and desk, chair and bedside cabinets provided along with multiple lights, cupboards, tea making, a fridge, multiple sockets, large wall mounted TV, strong wifi signal and a large floor rug. Expect significant snow in winter, however the hotel frontage and near by roads are continually cleared. Excellent spot for people who want to explore the city centre from a modern comfortable hotel.

Was in Astana to watch a football match. Everything was fantastic at the hotel, although after the match service in the bar got a bit delayed. Only a small thing. Overall, great stay, great staff with the manager deserving a special mention for the warm welcome and hospitality he gave our group over the four days.

Hard to find and nobody nearby (restaurants, stores, cafes) knows where the hotel is. It isn't small, but the taxi drivers don't know where it is. FIX YOUR GOOGLE MAPS coordinates!!! FYI, the hotel is on the side facing Mangilik El avenue (where 2 golden tower buildings stand)

Todo fue justo como esperábamos. Buen cuarto, buen baño, desayuno suficiente para empezar el día y no podría tener mejor ubicación. Únicos detalles fue que en el desayuno había una leche que estaba podrida y que cuando llegamos nos dieron un cuarto que no servía el aire acondicionado y fue tardado solucionarlo ya que iban personas diferentes al cuarto y se iban y no decían nada hasta que bajamos a recepción y nos cambiaron de cuarto. Buena relación calidad precio.

Centrally based to most of the top attractions and the main street. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean. Restaurant/bar facilities good with friendly, helpful service. We went to check out the spa facilities and they seemed to be in a state of disrepair. I think they were being upgraded.
