AC Hotel by Marriott New York Downtown

Städpersonalen respekterar inte att man markerat "Do not disturb". Jag var förkyld och valde att stanna i sängen under tre dagar så jag valde bort städning. Trots det vaknade jag av att städerskan traskade in i rummet varje dag. Normalt är att städerskan stoppar in en lapp under dörren om hon inte haft tillgång till rummet.

The hotel is very nice good location. The room wasn’t as spacious.

I checked in an hour early at a desk with 3-4 staff and no line, which took about 30 seconds in total. The rooms are clean, brand new, well maintained. Everything was functional except the infamous "Marriott cell phone mirroring" (i.e., watch Netflix from your phone on big screen), which I have yet to ever make work in any Marriott hotel ever. Elevators are fast, lobby is small and can get crowded but not to the point that you can't move around. Cons: no coffee / tea / water for guests in lobby except for sale in their gift shop. No loaner umbrellas stocked with bell service, but a bellman helpfully noted "we have them for sale in our gift shop". Which certainly miscalculates the desirability of owning an AC-branded umbrella -- the whole point of a loaner is nobody travels with umbrellas. Lastly, the "river view" room did indeed have a river view, but only because my westward facing room had an angled window design that allows one to squeeze into a corner behind the curtains and thereby glimpse the East River. Marketing that as a river view room disappoints in an otherwise very pleasant setup. Notwithstanding the above I would definitely stay here again: it's great value for mostly pristine rooms, staffed by cheerful people, and the location makes for much easier car rides around the city and to Brooklyn than your typical FiDi backstreet thicket. I'm happy to buy my own coffee and forgive inflated marketing for this solid all-around option.

Loved the service, the premises and how accomodating everyone was, highly recommend

our stay here was amazing we were upgraded to a water view and stayed in a king size room. service was amazing and the room was beautiful and clean.
