Greatt Hotel

The lounge at check in and the alley to the room has a smell, which smells odd and chemical, we didn’t like it. The room has a good size, Sony tv and Toto bidet toilet impressed us. The location is good, just next to Shilin night market.

Great location, close to the night market. Hotel is fairly new and modern. Service is superb. No coffee or microwave in the lobby.

Room a bit small, but clean and nice furnishing. Wish a table and chair available but understandable since its a tourist hotel. Shower needs improving..hot water flow not even.

We chose this place because it is near the famous Shilin Night Market

The location, just a block from the largest night market in Taipei is great. The not so good things are as follows. The air conditioning takes three to four minutes to start after you put the card into the power slot at the entrance. The air conditioning stops when you leave, so the room is hot again when you come back in an hour or two. Setting the temperature in the room was difficult, and needed special instructions from the staff. Also, the staff didn't give the WiFi password cheat sheet on check-in, so that took more time to figure out. The number to call the front desk is a non-standard number, and is not shown on the front of the phone. So multiple trips to the front desk were needed. The bed was quite firm, but decently large. The shower was great.
