Parking was hard to find but huge car park with plenty of space. Room was small but fine. Cushions on the bed had stains on but the sheets were clean. Bed and pillows were ok but not the most comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast was great.

The Crown Inn is fantastic!

Our stay at The Crown Inn was wonderful. The staff were so attentive and helpful. We were there for a special occasion and they really did make it feel special. The accommodation was lovely - rustic yet so comfortable. Food was great, we ate at Hawkyns in the evening (would recommend) and the breakfast was really good. Would highly recommend The Crown Inn to anyone thinking of staying there.

We loved the Crown Hotel in Amersham. The location is great. Service was excellent. The old Tudor style cabin room was unique and fun, good bed, nice bathroom with towel warmer.

Lovely staff, really accommodating. Went out of their way to help. Breakfast was good. Beautiful building. There wasn't much tea and coffee in the room but they would definitely have given us more if we'd asked. So thank to all the staff for a great stay

Great place to stay in Amersham. Very quiet and safe. Has parking facilities which is great in Amersham as there is always a problem finding somewhere to park. Highly recommended.

8/10 Very good

We had a duplex suite, the website really should have been clearer on how steep the stairs to the bathroom were. Not suitable for those with mobility issues. Bed was comfortable, but the room just a bit uninspiring and in need of a good clean - dusty around the bath, and limescale around the shower.

Interesting features spread throughout, good size carpark. Breakfast included and an onsite restaurent. The stairs and steps to some rooms may cause problems for those with limited mobility.

Great service. Above and beyond

On arrival reception was polite and very helpful. My room was superb. Staff all very friendly. And at breakfast wich was excellent ,they even gave my little dog dolly a sausage. Highly recommended 👌

6/10 Good

Room - the air con unit it soooo noisy. The bathroom door appears to be a fire door. You need to put full weight behind it to open it. Honestly, never seen a door like it. Beds are incredibly soft (too soft for us) and pillows are horrid. We were in the block at the back in the Bailey rooms. The carpets in communal areas are filthy with stains everywhere. Very noisy when people opening room doors etc, but I guess that happens everywhere. Dinner on our first night was not all that. Overpriced cheeseburger and about 8 chips. Waiter forgot my coke, yet we were the only ones there! Also, when they ask if you want a bottle of water when you sit down, say no. They charge you for it but fail to mention it when offering!! Breakfast on both mornings was lovely. Upon check out, no one available so just left the key on the desk! Old Amersham is beautiful but I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.
Andrew, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Centrally placed in Old Amersham and full of charming touches. Good breakfast. Be warned there are lots of stairs - and some bedrooms even have stairs up to the loo - so make sure you are fit and healthy.

Highly recommend

Really lovely hotel! Highly recommend- we stayed here as there were train strikes so made it difficult for us to get to London. Amersham is a gorgeous little village- reminded me of the film ‘The Holiday’ but also only an hour (if that) on the tube into central London. Gorgeous rooms- we stayed in the deluxe suite- super comfy bed and pillows- modern/ country feel to it so although modern still had an authentic feel. The shower was amazing- so powerful! Extremely clean and pristine. The breakfast at the hotel also really good- lots of choice and have a hot food to order as well so you can get a full English or avocado &eggs- really good quality food. Staff really helpful and always around if you need anything. Couldn’t fault anything at all. Overall great value for money! Highly recommend.

Outstanding hotel and restaurant

The staff at this hotel are outstanding. The room is stylish but not fancy - good quality furnishings and fittings. The was my second stay and I love it. The food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Just remember access to the car park is behind the hotel and a narrow entrance that you might miss first time! Plenty of spaces though!

Hoping for a reason to come back

Loved this hotel, the front desk staff were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was lovely, and the shower in particular was top notch. It's well located for Amersham Old Town and the train/tube station. The only let down for me was the breakfast, which was a mostly-cold full English with cardboard bacon and rubbery poached eggs one day, and an omelette that was clearly fresh and hot, but delayed by about 45 minutes because they were busy, the other day. Not bad enough to keep me away though, if I'm ever in Amersham again this is definitely where I'll be staying.
