We stayed in a basic tent for three nights (no microwave or personal bathroom).
Mid-September was a lovely time to be there. I’ll bet that October would be even better.
A few random things I wish we had known before we went:
1.We couldn’t start a campfire of our own. They only had communal campfires each night for the property.
2.They say there is complimentary coffee and tea, but know that it’s just a machine dispensing the drinks in their lobby and there is no tea except for milky chai. Meh.
3. The site is not far from the road so you won’t have deep silence if you’re in a tent. That said it is a nice distance from the hubbub of Zion.
4. There are simple charcoal grills located around the site but not specific to each tent. There’s a more serious gas grill close to the office.
5.They will provide you with basic grilling supplies (charcoal, tongs), which is nice.
6.They will give you a 10-lb bag of ice for free per day, which was great for us bc we brought our own food.
7. The bathrooms are individually air conditioned, which was a nice perk.
Overall we are VERY glad that we chose to stay at ZW rather than a hotel room. Getting up with the sunrise and watching the sunset in a beautiful breeze was really wonderful and peaceful.
Final note: The tents will flap in the wind like ship sails, which you will either find comforting or alarming :-)
