There was a very rude desk clerk who would not let me and my 13 year old daughter check into our room at 2:00am. He said there was a problem with my reservation and that Expedia hadn’t paid them yet. I explained that I have a receipt saying I paid Expedia, and I got a confirmation number from them. It was so awful, I asked to speak to the manager. The clerk told me I had to wait until morning as there was no manager on duty at that time. Mind you this is less than 2 minutes before he called “the manager to help us out” RIGHT in front of me! So I know he’s lying but there’s nothing I can do about it and we both know it. I tried calling their Hilton help line and while the girl was very nice, she ended up telling me there was nothing she could do and I should call and talk to the manager the next day. Finally, at 3am I just left and got into my car, found another hotel, and drove us there. Otherwise we would have been stuck in the car.
