Overrated hotel
Very long check-in process. Most of the customers were only allowed to check in at 4pm and reminded of their very strict check out policy at 10am (any extra hour could be charged 100 dollars). Basically you have a bunch of potential activities being offered at the resort but with the short amount of hours that you could spend during your stay, you really can't have a full experience. A shame considering that the hotel is not cheap and it has potential.

Great location and enjoyable stay
We really enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect for exploring the island. Maho beach was easy to get to and there was a wide variety of restaurants within walking distance. The resort has its own beach, but there is also a nice beach we frequented at Buccaneer restaurant. The resort also included a tour office and dive shop. If we are back in the area, we'll definitely stay there again! Damaged roads are a part of life on the island, but I would expect them to be somewhat better maintained on the resort grounds.

This was our 2nd stay at the resort, however, this time around was much more enjoyable than the first. Check-in was better than the first time but still slow. Our room was ready upon arrival and we slept well. The housekeepers and grounds men were all pleasant.
