We'd come back anytime, bringing our own food.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Checkin was really literarily a none event, as we just had to use the entry code for all doors, given over email. The establishment is brand new, as it was inaugurated in July this year. Comfortable beds, great blackout curtains and a dead quiet environment made sleep very easy and enjoyable. Hot tub just outside the building is a complimentary treat. Breakfast basic but tasty and fresh. The only negative is the pricing at the Mida restaurant next door. The food is very nice. But, to enjoy it becomes almost impossible, when you can't help worry about a bill reflecting legalised robbery! We found the pricing to be downright rude! Service at the restaurant was a bit slow, as closing time was closing in, and priorities shifted from service to closing chores. All in all, we'd not hesitate to recommend the Blue Hotel Fagrilundur.

Reasonably priced well situated hotel.
Excellent location for the tourist sites. Clean, spacious and comfortable room. The lobby could do with a refresh as the building reminded us of an upscale hostel. Very good breakfast included. Too much light pollution from nearby greenhouses to view northern lights well. Would recommend for a reasonably priced well situated hotel.

Hot tub was great, breakfast was good and they can offer a bag breakfast if you let them know you are leaving in the early morning. Next to fabulous restaurant/wine bar at the greenhouse.

After decades of traveling in the US, I can't believe I found the best hotel in Iceland for the price I usually pay. The room is clean, spacious, and modern. Breakfast is the best out of our 11-day Iceland trip. We enjoy the Jacuzzi a lot. Staff is friendly and helpful. The nearby fish and chip is excellent, and the portion is generous. Highly recommended.

Very Giving Hotel
One night - driving thru, convenient aelf check in, hot tub nice touch. Restaurant Mika was amazing across street. Loved artwork. Liked amtge family run hotel vibe it gave off. Very convenient parking. Breakfast spread was great! Room was very comfortable and spacious. Surrounding areas convenient. Loved seeing the tomato farm and feeding hat to the beautiful horses in the morning. Great homebase to visit the Golden Circle.

Johan was very nice and courteous. He made sure we were fed in the morning! Location is on the golden circle, so it is a good stopover. However, it is a 15-30 minutes away from other attractions, dining, etc. (Although, 15-30 minutes is not too far away from where we are from). So if you do not mind the drive it's great!
