Funky casual but professional vibes
Coming off a luxury cruise it was wonderful to walk into this hotel and feel like our holiday was well and truly continuing in style. I adore the fact that the staff wear denim and the vibe is casual but professional. I love quirky funky places and hotel Indigo was that indeed. The important things: the big bed was extremely comfortable and soft, the pillows were a dream to sleep on, the shower while oddly placed was big with great pressure and temperature balance. When we return to Barcelona in the future we will feel most confident and comfortable to come back and stay here.

This property had mildew damage in the bathroom. The air conditioning is nonexistent. They changed my room when I couldn't sleep the first night. I ran into someone else in the hall who was having the same problem in their room. I understand in Europe they like to control the AC, but this one was set at 18 instead of 16 and it did not ever get to 18.

The hotel staff are great, but the air conditioner in the rooms we rented for our family did not work well. In one of our two rooms it did not work at all. The staff responded promptly to the issue & moved us to a new room. We didn’t realize our family member was having issues as well until the next morning so we only reported the one problem.

I would recommend this hotel, it was excellent. We loved that room was clean, modern with great amenities. Despite being on the main road - it was quiet, soundproof walls and windows. Nice and comfortable bed. Fancy Coffee machine and tea pot! Small but roomy fridge. AC worked well. Large TV on the wall. Spacious bathroom, with towels and heavy robes; hygiene items available. There are two elevators and stairs. Bar and restaurant downstairs. About a mile from main train station. Plenty dining options and shopping. Plaza España within walking distance. Hop on/off 3-5 mins to walk.

This was a great location, I can get to all my destinations easily. The room was not spacious but cozy. I did asked for a room with a view he put me on the third floor which only gave the view of the bodega in front of the hotel. FYI, that is not a view. Lastly, I tried the breakfast buffet for one day, thank God, and it was disgusting. The eggs tasted like chemicals and the sausages were hard and cold. Not tasty at all.

We had to ask for the VIP benefit of two welcome drinks, it wasn’t offered. Room upgrade wasn’t offered either. The welcome drinks were also very limited to house wine and one beer. They were good, but more choice would be great. The hotel and staff are great, but they are not offering the VIP perks unless specifically asked for.

The hotel is just a stone’s throw away from Metro L1 going to and from the airport, the airport bus, Plaza Espanya, the Montjuic Magic Fountain, and Arenas. However, it is beside a boarded up building flanking the Torres Venecianes, which makes it kinda sad. The Hotel itself is wonderful! Very modern and clean, with very accommodating and genial staff. Shout out to Renat who made us really welcome and oriented us about Barcelona, where to go, how to go to the places we want to see, and other useful information that made us feel so welcome.
