I recently stayed at Mangrove Beach Corendo in Curacao, and while there were some positives, my overall experience was less than ideal.
First, the check-in and check-out process was quite confusing and disorganized. After a long flight, I was hoping for a smooth arrival, but unfortunately, there were no seats available for guests waiting to check in. It was uncomfortable to stand around for an extended period, especially after traveling for hours. It would have been a nice touch to have a designated seating area for guests waiting to check in
Unfortunately, the housekeeping left much to be desired. I found mold in the bathroom, which was concerning, and the robes that were provided were dirty. These issues definitely made me question the cleanliness and attention to detail at the resort.
On a more positive note, the entertainment and food options were decent, though nothing stood out as extraordinary. The resort is very kid-friendly, which is great for families, but it didn’t quite meet the expectations I had for a more relaxing, adult-oriented experience.
One of the highlights of our stay was Mel at the concierge desk. She was incredibly helpful in booking our cabanas and making sure we were enjoying our stay. Her customer service definitely stood out, and we truly appreciated her efforts.
Overall, while Curacao itself is a beautiful destination, I’m not sure I would return to this resort. There are definitely areas for improvement in terms of service and maintenance.
