The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that the prize was low and that it has air condition.
The hotel is located outside of the city Metro zone of Madrid, which means you have to buy a special and more expensive ticket. It takes more than an hour on the Metro to get down town. But you should remeber that there is 20-30 minutes walk to get to the nearest Metro station (Casa del Reloj). It takes about 1.5 hours to get to the airport.
The breakfast only contains sweet things. There is nothing of substance, like cheese, meat or yoghurt. If you drink tea it is notable that they only have a small thermos, which they do not fill up often enough. The most substantial bread is toast, the other kinds are actually only sweets. The juice was okay however. Maybe this sweet breakfast is standard in Spain, but in other hotels (except for a motel in USA) I have stayed at the breakfast was much better and contained healthier things.
When it comes to cleaning they forgot to remove the towel that was there to step on when going out of the shower. So the floor was still wet after returning twelve hours later. There was also mould on the threshold and a significant smell thereof.
We had booked a double room with a double bed, but when we arrived to the room it was two single beds. That was however corrected.
The hotel says it has free WIFI Internet access in the rooms. This is a truth with several modifications. There is a login code that you are supposed to ge a new one every 24 hours. They wouldn't give me this code the second day at the hotel, saying that I already got my code, something that was not true. However there is also a quota of 500 MB, which means that it is not possible to use online storage to make backups of photos and such if it exceed this limit.
They also say that it is free WIFI in the lobby. That Internet connection cannot be used if you need VPN connection to your company (this however works in the room) and the connection speed is 128 kbps, which is only a bit faster than an old fashion telephone modem. There is also a time limit of 30 minutes. It seems that you can get a new code after 30 minutes, but if you are sending email with attachments there might be a problem with that time limit. The quota here is 50MB, which is anyway more or less impossible to reach in 30 minutes.
The people working at the hotel are also not service minded and do not say anything about any limitations about Internet access, so you have to find out the hard way that you reached the quota-limit. There is also nothing written about this in English. The paper we recieved with our room number, said that it was free WIFI, nothing about any limitations. If you exceed these limitations you have to pay to get Internet access.
