This place is absolutely wonderful. The staff were so nice and accommodating. I wish I knew about this place when my kids were much younger. I felt like our nanny was part of our family. Very attentive and caring. Great environment for families. I loved it so much I even stayed an extra night because I wasn’t ready to leave.

The staff was excellent, made us feel welcomed and always checking in on us to see if we're ok. Shout out to the front desk for upgrading my room so that I didn't have to share bed with my mom. Shout out to the kitchen/dining staff also for making my mom's birthday special ❤️

Can't sat enough good things about this place. Friendly staff and quite possibly the best extended stay I have had anywhere. I traveled here solo, but it is extremely family friendly.

It’s definitely not 5 stars Hotel. HOWEVER, if you have kids and like a local food, this hotel is for you. I traveled with two 9 years old, and on our way back home they asked if we can come back. We had the nice room with a beautiful view, and nanny service was included. Nanny Melrose was with kids most of the time, and they like her. Sanique from kids club is amazing. She does her best to entertain kids. The hotel has small and not really swimmable beach, but 2-3 minutes walk from the pool there is a nice public beach.

With the possible exception of some places in Italy, I have NEVER been to such a child-friendly environment. The staff were incredible and made us feel like home. It was like staying in a Jamaican uncle's house on the beach. We will definitely go back!

This is an older resort but it’s authentic to Jamaica. The staff were amazing!!! If you want to feel the relaxed feeling of being home, this is definitely the place to be. The food was delicious and the drinks were very good. The beach was tiny but nice. There’s a larger beautiful beach for people who want something bigger. The large pool was great and the water slide was really fun. We loved it that the resort was small. We will definitely be returning!! One love!!

My family and I had a great time here. It is much smaller than I’m used to but the kindness and smiles from everyone who worked there certainly made up for that. The service staff went above and beyond everyday and always had a smile to give. The food was great and we enjoyed sampling some Jamaican food. The jerk chicken and hand breaded onion rings were enjoyed daily by us. We would certainly return if we come back to Runaway Bay in the future!

The beach view was absolutely stunning. The property is still working through a few remodels after the hurricane in November 2025, but it didn’t take away from the experience. What truly makes this place special is the staff and the owner. They are some of the kindest people you’ll meet and make you feel like part of the family from the moment you artive

The property is an amazing vacation destination with family. Super family friendly and oriented. Staff is really attentive. Nannies for the kids are very good and the property has great entertainment. The property has suffered Hurricane damage. But they are working on getting everything back in order. Highly recommend for a good, relax away vacation where you and the kids can both relax and enjoy.

Pro and cons. My plan was to sit at the resort and not do anything else. Pros Round trip airport shuttle Food included/drinks Clear beach next door Boat/kayak Lifeguard on deck Cons Didn’t feel welcomed when dining there. The servers weren’t very friendly. There are more pros than cons, but I know customer service can either make or break your trip. This was definitely a break moment. Would I stay here again, no.

The resort was very damaged from previous hurricanes, and it was disappointing how un tidied up it still was. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The rooms/apartments themselves were great and no complaints. The lack of restaurants , spa area and access to a nice beach were very disappointing.
